Say what you will about Donald Trump, he is consistent and predictable. Once he finds a winning formula, particularly for grifting, he stays with it. This is the main reason why pundits are now speculating whether Trump will actually be done running in 2024, or if he’ll run until the day he literally collapses in a big orange heap, one gigantic compost of makeup, hairspray, Adderall, Diet Coke and cheeseburgers.
Trump’s winning formula post January 6 was to tell the rubes that the election had been stolen and send money to a defense fund.
There was no defense fund. There was nothing to defend. The Big Lie was a fable that Trump had cobbled together to raise money and finally, now, it looks like wire fraud might be his “shortest route to an orange jumpsuit.” Mayhaps, per be. Everything here is twisted in Trump Wonderland and things that would land others behind bars seem to bounce off Trump. But this might not.
Just by the by, George Conway is looking thinner and healthier since he and Kellyanne decided to divorce. Good. And I say that without rancor. Nothing can drag a person down more than a toxic marriage. Maybe now that’s behind him.

All roads lead to the House of Many Doors. Yet, I fear Trump will escape accountability. I hope I’m wrong. I just know I’m tried of feeling like Charlie Brown with the football and being fooled yet once again.
That said, Conway is making a solid argument here. Maybe it’s the end of the road for Trump.
Even in 2016, he was lying to make money. He promised the GOP he’d self-fund his campaign, and after that it was all begging for money from them and voters both – and we *still* don’t know where it all went.
Don’t forget his promise to the USA citizens, (Taxpayers) … Mexico will be paying for the wall … it was enough to launch a cup of coffee across the kitchen floor … his pathetic handling of the pandemic, destroying everything at the CDC to deal with the coming Covid, simply because it was all built up and promoted to him personally, with colorful pamphlets to explain how it all worked to save Americans from horrible deaths by Obama …
Because he did not want anybody to know how badly his numbers would look if they new how tests were going, he squashed distribution of test kits, then he killed 1500+ first line doctors and nurses because he sat on his lard ass to not getting them their masks, face shields and backup misc. gloves, gowns and other things replaced several times on their long voluntary shifts ..
Oh well, he only killed over a million citizens by NOT starting any plans up for a while … it was always his smarmy face and incredibly stupid statements, “They say that Covid can be killed by using bleach in your wash bucket”, looking over at the doctors in the room, he said, “Can we get something going on injecting bleach ?” … Just a couple of reminders … Also, went to the military asking about ventilators in storage … Found a skid load of yellow ventilators in one warehouse that were removed from service because of missing parts or broken parts, but that did not slow him down, he wanted to be known as the one that responded quickly, so sent these yellow box units out to hospitals that worked long hours repairing or replacing parts, and calling back to say how horrible it was to have people dead because they could not breath …
Thank God, somebody told the dumb ass hole about emergency functions can be ordered up by the sitting president, so, of course, that played well for him to take credit, “his beautiful ventilators”, coming on line …
Although, he was planning and had the FBI chase down a load of masks on its way to Germany, so he sent them to steal that load by strong arming the warehouse workers … there were 250 thousand masks in that load, always looking for a deal, he had them warehoused in some secret warehouse with the idea to sell them to the states, by bidding wars, Germany could suck lemons as far as he was concerned …
Another scheme was to use a medication, said by someone that it would work to protect people from the Covid, he ordered up a warehouse full of that useless pill, making it difficult for REAL patients to find their prescribed meds … his idea was to sell this medication to the public for more money in his pockets …
These sickening things were going on all the time in Trump’s world, the one where we spent millions on him playing golf nearly every day of the week at his own golf sites, instead of actually being a president …

A financial fraud case would cause Trump’s head to explode. Maybe even lose it so badly (if charges get filed or even certain subpoenas are issued and he can’t quash them) as to openly call for violent uprising including the goobers with guns go out and murder hundreds or more specific people. Why do I say that? Look, his ego is major butt-hurt over the Stormy Daniels stuff and her saying whatever he might think he’d have never made it in the porn business. He imagined his tryst as him being the infamous “Johnny Wadd” with the coke bottle sized dick and partners writhing in actual real extasy. Instead she made him out to be not quite average and a crappy lover – with the only thing “good” about the encounter was it being over in less than five minutes.
However, there’s something that Trump fears above all else. Financial humiliation. Being exposed as not rich. Not just not worth the ten billion he claimed to be but not even a billion and actually cash poor & scrambling to find more duct tape and baling wire to hold the whole house of cards together.
We both remember the original Friar’s Club Roasts. Then the concept got sold but roasts continued. For anyone who’s never seen one, going back to the original a cast of celebrities make fun of the roastee, who then gets the final turn at the mic and returns some fire. Some of the cracks/joke have been pretty hard-hitting, even over the edge. Particularly post Friar’s Club. What many don’t know is the person being roasted can in fact set some ground rules which the roasters respect and won’t cross. Given what’s been said sometimes it’s surprising people were that good a sport about their foibles. Here’s the thing about when Trump got roasted. The ONLY condition he set was that no one was allowed to crack jokes/take shots at his wealth – to suggest he wasn’t a fabulously wealthy guy! For him, ANY suggestion to the contrary has always made his blood boil and he knew all about these roasts – the other talent on stage would be licking their chops at his “rich guy” life and anyone viewing would wonder since he’d allowed it in the first place maybe he wasn’t so sh!t hol after all. He wasn’t about to have that happen.
A financial crimes case would be his worst nightmare because it would all come out. He’d be finished financially. There’s bankrupt and then there’s the kind of bankrupt Trump and the Trump Org. would be. I’d want to have been a safe distance away when Trump got the news he might wind up facing financial fraud charges.
I know someone that killed himself because he lost 25 million.

Telling people to send money for a “defense fund” when no such fund exists is not lying, it is outright fraud. Lying can be called “puffing” and would be what any attorney worth their salt would use as a defense. Fraud is not even close to lying/puffing and is a very serious whoopsie. Of course, fraud is proved by using a great deal of business record evidence which I am assuming the folks in NYC have…
Using two sets of books, one showing great wealth in property holdings, (for attaining loans) – FRAUD
Another for proving lower values to cut down with lower, or no property taxes, gaining a basis for fraudulent bankruptcy … BINGO, he’s a dead from the neck up, pauper as soon as the rest of things are shown, especially since it plays serious games with the IRS, (Tax frauds are much different than tax avoidance) – Just plain FRAUD on all counts!!
