We have long since passed the milestone of being Democrats or Republicans. That’s waaay back there on the highway. We also have passed the fork in the road marked Extreme Opinions. We are now at a place which can only be described as the twin cities of Reality v. Unreality and Unreality is the chosen home of QAnon. They make it up as they go along, apparently. Maybe life is more fun that way for some people, who knows?
QAnoners gathered at Dealey Plaza in Dallas starting Monday evening. They were awaiting a message from JFK Jr. who died in July of 1999 in a plane crash. QAnon dogma says that the plane crash was faked and that Junior will return to lead, possibly as Donald Trump’s vice president in 2024. Here’s a scene from the gathering.

The announcement by JFK was supposed to take place at 12:30 p.m. That hour came and went, but the QAnoners don’t miss a beat, ever. They quickly regrouped and the new message is that JFK Jr. will appear at the Rolling Stones concert in Dallas later this evening.
And get this. JFK Jr. is NOT the only dead celebrity who is in Dallas today. So is Robin Williams, Kobe Bryant and others we are told. Listen to this.

The Kennedys inspired a kind of cult of their own because they so embodied the American dream. JFK’s great-grandfather was an Irish immigrant who came to Boston and did well, spawning an entire dynasty of Kennedys who went into public service. By some twist of fate and warped imagination, JFK Jr. has come to represent a faction of the QAnon legend. Junior is allegedly alive and he’s Q, instead of those two pornographers from the Philippines, Jim and Ron Watkins.
Pure wingnuttery, but these people must get something out of it. Nobody else can figure it out and in the eyes of the world we’re not looking too great right now.
The United States is now an open air lunatic asylum and the inmates are armed. Think about that.

Wow, I seriously doubt, even if he was still alive, that JFK jr would have anything to do with tRump and co. I have no idea why they are laying claim to him.
Conservatives used to try out a line of bullshit (after Reagan came along) that if JFK himself were still alive he’d be a Republican. The Kennedy family pushed back of course, and if memory serves in the 2008 campaign his daughter Caroline buried it once and for all. I think they tried a little of the same bullshit with Truman too. Hell, after Nixon they were desperate to rewrite history, especially after the Reagan revolution hit the Bill Clinton roadblock.

And some of them just need a destination. They clearly like to be out and about…but may not get invited a lot of places. So, these events, rallies, protests give them somewhere to go and something to do that doesn’t cost $1K+ for a ticket to attend.
Joe Sr. was a nazi sympathizer who made tons of money running illegal liquor. He enlisted help from the Irish mob since the eldest prince, Joe Jr., died in a plane crash & no Catholic was anyone’s choice for the highest office. John’s war story was embellished to help the cause, & he was racked by multiple medical problems, contrary to his image. I know this as a fact because I once worked in Hyannis at a post acute brain injury rehabilitation program his former therapist also worked at. Every story has layers but these folks are more deluded & out of touch than when my friends and I did windowpane several times a week in college. Maybe next time they’ll head to death valley to wait on Jesus, & according to God’s instructions, bring no water. We can only hope.
