This is an interesting video on a number of levels. First, if there’s a culture war in this country, it’s because people are watching two separate narratives of reality and one of them is being cobbled together by Fox News. Secondly, the piece is done by the Lincoln Project, and they’ve apparently decided to lick their wounds and continue in the fight.
Fox News has always provided Donald Trump his mouthpiece and that is how the country got into the Hell on earth that it suffered the last four years. Now Fox News is busy helping Trump do “ret con” retroactive construction, i.e., revisionist history, ala Orwell’s “1984” on his presidency.
Take a listen to his comments the other day, about how there was “no danger” and Trump supporters were “hugging and kissing” officers on January 6. No mention of the dead people, including one police officer, no mention of the gallows and the chants, “Hang Mike Pence” and “Fuck Mike Pence.”

Fox News is dangerous. Disinformation is toxic and Fox News continues to pollute the political groundwaters.
The only consolation is that the con’s seem to live in fear. It is like they give themselves PTSD on purpose. Trump didn’t do this to them, though. The generations old fear of the slave revolt is the basis of their fears and resentment. They don’t understand how a normal person can not have the same resentments and fears.
He started by supporting the Australian Labour Party (now the National Party of Australia). He then emigrated to England in 1968 and started by supporting the Tories under Maggie Thatcher, switched to supporting Labour under Tony Blair, switched back to Tory with David Cameron. He also managed at one point to support the Scottish Natiaonalst Party. He has been the subject of several probes by the Brits both before he left for the US in the 1980s and since. The Culture, Media and Sport Committee of the Brit parluament issued a report stating that Murdoch was “not a fit person to exercise the stewardship of a major international company”.
His actities in England involved one of his appers having to shut down due to phone hacking and he then pushed Cameron intop accepting the former editor, Andrew Couldon as communication director for the Tory party (Coulson ended up nehind bars for his part in the phone hacking)
Murdoch also ‘arranged’ free flights for Cameron on his son in law’s private Gulfstream to hold private talks and also invited him to private oparties on his yacht/ These talks also included Oleg Derepenska and Ben Sherman of NBC
Overall, on a scale of 1 – 10, he scores a minus 5
We need to get our facts straight here, although I’m not disagreeing with the basic thrust of the comment.
The Australian Labor Party (and the spelling “Labor” is quite deliberate) is still around and hasn’t changed its name since it was founded.
The National Party used to be the Country Party, and is usually the minor partner in permanent coalition with the city-based Liberal Party. (Confusingly for US folks, the Liberals are the main RIGHT-wing party in Australia, and would possibly be more accurately labelled the Libertarian Party.)
As I have said before, the first step needs to be shutting down the lies and disinformation. Not a free speech issue at all in my (not at all humble) opinion, but if it were, my response would be that free speech sometimes has consequences.
The only way to deprogram the cult of he who shall not be named is to cut off the flow of lies and disinformation. I know that many of them are too far gone into the Qanon universe, but we might get some of them back to being reasonable humans.
Murdoch didn’t invent sleazebag journalism but he lowered it to levels well beneath contempt. He did it first in his native Australia, then in the UK with the disgraced, discontinued News Of the World, then in the USA with Fox News. His agenda has always been the same: promote fascism in order to make lots of money.
Are Americans aware Rupert Murdoch owned a ‘Billboard Media Company ‘ in Russia – one whose executive is now an elected member of Russia’s Parliament ?! Sure he sold out , after the F.B.I. Got stressed when bullets were used to get rid of the competition .
