Organized religion is a major scam, the “opiate of the masses” and when you watch this you’ll realize Lauren Boebert took an extra large dose. She goes on about how it doesn’t matter that she’s not educated, God’s going to tell her what to do. Great, now we’ve got none other than Almighty God, creator of the universe, casting a vote in the House of Representatives. I don’t even want to get into a theological debate on how absurd it is. Not putting seat belts on her kids and letting them play unattended in a house with guns she claims are loaded, is that of God? Just asking.
The God of my understanding also thinks she’s full of shit. This race of hers in 2022 was going to be one to watch in any event, but now that her district has been redrawn and with all the bad press about how she attempts to be the next Marjorie Taylor Greene and gin up outrage, I really don’t see how she’s going to be reelected. Her new district includes Boulder, which is very liberal and has a congressman who’s been there a while. He’s not a loon like Boebert.

I am always amazed that our cultural understanding of phrases attributed to Jesus have fallen into the ditch time & again. Forget the fact Jesus wrote nothing down, & the theoretical authors that recorded these down 80-100 years later weren’t standing next to Jesus either. Try this question: what did Caesar legitimately own? Everything he had was due to pillage, rape, & ruin by conquering others. Maybe Jesus was being a divinely inspired smart-ass. Oh, and God was NOT “covered in other people’s blood?” The guy who FLOODED THE ENTIRE EARTH, killing everyone and everything except for some guy who built a boat and *supposedly* stocked it with 2 (or was that 7?) of every animal? Then, let’s consider all the “first-born” of Egypt who died (except for the Hebrews) because God was being a, well, dick. (Go back and reread the account of the Exodus. Pharaoh’s willing to let the Hebrews leave after every single plague but, as they get ready to go, GOD “hardens Pharaoh’s heart” and he changes his mind.) How many completely innocent Egyptians were killed in that final plague, slaughtered in a form of ethnic cleansing? And, when the Hebrews went into Canaan, it was GOD who instructed the Hebrews to slaughter EVERY MAN, WOMAN AND CHILD in almost every village they encountered. And, in order to protect Baby Jebus, God allowed Herod to massacre potentially thousands of innocent baby boys in Judea.
But, yeah. Caesar was the bad guy, “covered in other people’s blood.”
To me, her speech sounds like ego talking, not God. That’s just my opinion.

First of all the word ‘God’ has as much meaning about the immeasurable, unknowable universe as holding a cup of seawater & think you have captured the reality of 3/4 of the planet’s surface in constant motion.
