“So when China gets our good air, their bad air got to move.” — Herschel Walker

It’s rumored that the RNC has given up on the Georgia senate race, but it’s virtually assured that Fox News has. Isn’t that interesting? Fox News is moving on from Donald Trump and at least this one Trump-endorsed candidate.

But before we get to that, here is a jewel from Don Winslow.

Far be it from me to challenge how Don Winslow phrases anything, but the use of the word “choice” here is intriguing. For example, would it be a “choice” whether to have granola for breakfast or rusty nails? Would it be a choice to stay in a leaky tool shed during a hurricane or a room at the Ritz Carlton? Technically, yes, Georgia does have a “choice” to send an uneducated, pathological liar with a history of child abandonment and domestic violence to the senate, as opposed to reelecting its competent incumbent, but again, unless you’re like Herschel Walker and Russian roulette is your thing, it’s not much of a choice.

Apparently, even Fox News is thinking along these lines. Take a look at this clip.

Let’s see if Walker shows up to a debate. I think it’s going to be the same scenario as when Jon Ossoff was set to debate David Perdue. Ossoff stood behind the podium on one side of the stage and Perdue’s podium was empty. That made headlines all over the world.

David Perdue was the good ole boy, fat cat Republican, who “feels he owns the senate seat” as Ossoff pointed out and who was “getting rich in office.” Perdue was too much of a coward to appear in public and debate the issues with Ossoff. Now, the same scenario is taking place again in Georgia. Except I don’t think cowardice is Walker’s problem, I think plain stupidity is. He needs to stay off the debate stage or he is going to get clobbered.

The question is, will he? If he can’t handle softballs from Fox News, he is going to be battered and bloodied on a debate stage and that’s why people in the Walker camp are begging him not to do it. Raphael Warnock is the perfect person to take Walker down, because his intelligence and grace will provide such a savage contrast to Walker’s inept buffoonery.

I would love to see it, from a political theater standpoint. Nothing would please me more. I wonder if we can somehow goad Walker into making the appearance? Last I knew, his campaign manager was dead set against it, and that certainly makes sense.

Georgia’s choice is between sanity and insanity, with respect to this particular race. It is that black and white. Of all the candidates running in the fall, Walker is arguably the GOP’s worse.

  1. Hey herschel…I think you’re on to something. Play with the gun again but before you put it into your mouth, put at least 3 bullets in a 6 chamber firearm so you can PROVE God is for you. In fact, leave only one chamber empty. That’s even more proof. Even a better idea is let your ex wife be in charge of the gun. Glad to help.

Now that is a real achievement in a very highly contested field.

    But it seems correct.
