Tony Ornato, der Gropinfuhrer’s fave rave SS Agent, whom he plucked from his security detail to elevate to Chief-of-Staff for “Operations” and whom The Washington Post reported honchoed drumpf’s most sensitive operation on January 6, 2021, the plan to spirit Mike Pence out of Washington D.C. to delay the certification of the electoral votes to make Joe Biden President…

“Pence and his team worried his own Secret Service agents might block him from his goals. Despite an armed mob breaking through the windows of the Capitol, the vice president insisted on remaining in the Capitol so he could finish the job of formally approving the results of the presidential election. As rioters stormed through the hallways, Pence’s detail leader insisted on taking a reluctant Pence from a hidden office to the Capitol basement. But Pence refused his top agent’s recommendation to climb into his armored limousine, for fear agents might drive him away from the building.

Keith Kellogg, a Trump aide who then was working as Pence’s national security adviser, had stressed to Ornato that the vice president intended on staying inside the Capitol to finish the job, according to the book “I Alone Can Fix It.” He told Ornato the Secret Service detail had better not try to forcibly remove Pence from the building.

“I know you guys too well,” Kellogg said. “You’ll fly him to Alaska if you have a chance. Don’t do it.”

…has retired, effective today.

I’m guessing he didn’t want to head drumpf’s security detail in Gitmo.

As The Intercept (sorry) reports tonight Ornato’s retirement come at a most opportune time…

“Ornato had finally agreed to an interview with Department of Homeland Security investigators on August 31 after multiple attempts to arrange one. According to a memo sent by the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General to the head of the Secret Service, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and DHS general counsel, the inspector general had been attempting to interview Ornato since June 29 and spent all of July and much of August following up.
For example, Ornato cited vacation as a reason he couldn’t attend an interview. “I believe my counsel spoke to you and / or your team, but I am traveling out of district on annual leave and am not available on the dates provided,” Ornato wrote in an email on August 24. “When I am back from vacation, I will circle back with you and your team.”

This is one in a string of access issues the inspector general has experienced in relation to January 6, as The Intercept reported last week.

Ornato has indicated that he still intends to attend the interview, according to an email obtained by The Intercept, but since Ornato will be a private citizen, investigators won’t have testimonial subpoena authority to compel his cooperation.“

Isn’t that special?

Twitter users don’t believe in coincidence.

Yup

But Joe ain’t Trump. I would rather see him in court on criminal charges, anyway.

👍👍👍

It will be interesting to see how it plays out, he’s supposed to appear the J6 Committee in two days.

Ya’ll reckon there are any “I plead the fifth”s left or did Trump use them all up in New York?

Help keep the site running, consider supporting.

    • Either The Intercept is wrong or it has something to do with the fact that this is a Congressional Hearing. Of course a grand jury can subpoena him…

  1. Maybe we should honor his plan & fly HIM to Alaska, see if dunderhead Palin wants to see the russkies, of course pick her up on the government tab, wrap them in Houdini inspired straitjackets, yes Sarah yours can be power red, and, somewhere over the North Atlantic…BOMBS AWAY!!! Now that’s a military operation I can fully support!

  2. Too bad it isn’t the military he’s retiring from. Military retirees are subject to recall to active duty if needed (in fact, for NCOs, the Sea Services don’t even call it retirment – they call it the Fleet Reserve (NAvy) and the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve.)

Congress, are you listening? This might be a good idea for all Federal employees/officials.
