Trump’s Closest Allies Are Playing A Dangerous Game

Trump’s inner circle advisors, and congressional acolytes are playing a dangerous game here. They got drunk on four years of absolute immunity, being able to trample any norm or law with impunity, knowing the Barr DOJ would turn a blind eye.

But this is not then, there’s a new sheriff in town, and there is no longer a Barr DOJ to protect them. In fact, the SCOTUS is highly likely to refuse to hear his executive privilege case over the National Archive documents, making their claims of privilege null and void.

But these idiots can’t seem to help themselves, they just keep coming on like a retarded Annie Oakley, entering the room shooting from the lip. And in doing so, not only are they incriminating themselves, they are putting Glorious Bleater at greater risk.

Today, Trump butt boy and mental defective Peter Navarro came out in the media and basically parroted Two Shirts Bannon in describing in detail the GOP’s plan to overturn the results of a free and fair election.

And like Bannon, he made a direct reference between the GOP’s plan to obstruct the congressional electoral votes certification. And like Bannon, he used a reference to the NFL Green Bay Packers teams Sweep play. Every team knew it was coming, but nobody could stop it.

They bragged that the whole scheme rested on convincing enough GOP lawmakers to object to the electoral vote count that it would force the Vice President, Mike Pence, to throw the electoral results in contested states back to the states, forcing a floor vote in the House, where the GOP majority would throw the election back to Trump. There’s just one problem here. There is no constitutional precedent for this, the vote certification is a purely ceremonial function! Navarro even stated that what was needed wasn’t more pro Trump rioters, it was more congressional Republicans with spines.

Ands many GOP congressional minions, especially in the House have ascribed to this theory. You’ll notice that none of them have condemned the rioters, in fact they’ve lionized them. Only Navarro has said that no rioters were needed, only more congressional Republicans with balls.

Here’s the problem. They’re basically confessing to have committed a crime. The 1/6 Committee has already stated that they are looking for evidence of crimes that they can refer to the Garland DOJ for criminal prosecution. And one of the crimes that they’re looking at is criminal obstruction of an official act of Congress. And these morons just keep piling up the evidence. On two fronts.

On the one hand, they lionize the Capitol rioters for storming the Capitol in order to delay or stop the electoral vote tally. That’s a crime. And on the other hand, Navarro and Bannon’s statements make it clear that they were only interested in using congressional rules to delay or stop the certification of the electoral votes, not for a legitimate purpose, since multiple audits and recounts had shown that there was no voter fraud, but to use procedure to tip the election back to Trump. That’s a conspiracy to obstruct an official congressional act.

The only applicable phrase that immediately comes to mind is The blind leading the stupid. Trump lost the election fair and square. And in desperation, Trump called for a massive rally in DCA on 1/6 to Stop the Steal. The 1/6 Committee is already looking for links between the White House and the organizers and groups that took part in the rally that led to the insurrection.

And to put a pretty pink bow on it, Trump advisors and congressional hacks are spouting off their mouths, making it clear that the legislative effort to delay or stop the count wasn’t based on legitimate vote fraud claims, but to force the vote to the House floor so that Trump could remain President.
