Once again we rephrase and pose Hillary Clinton’s 2016 comment in a new context, “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.” Nor is a man who can’t stop mocking and defaming a woman he raped decades ago. Nor is a man who can’t simply stay in his seat during a courtroom trial.

This is nothing new. Trump has stormed out of courtrooms before, most recently in the Manhattan Trump Organization fraud trial. But this little temper tantrum may end up being a real pain in the wallet.

Now the comedy here is that Trump is not worth billions of dollars. On paper and theoretically maybe, but in point of fact he’s heavily in debt and heavily leveraged. Trump screwed himself yesterday in court. Portions of his deposition were cited and he verified at that time that he was worth “Ten Billion.” Well, then he should be able to comfortably part with a large chunk of that, right?

I think Trump stormed out of the trial this morning because he knows this is going to be bad and he’s got no way to pay. And never lose sight of the fact that in a few days, by no later than January 31, Judge Arthur Engoron is expected to return his verdict and that could be for the $372 million that Letitia James asked for as a fine.

Additionally, Trump could be forced to sell Trump Tower (that’s virtually guaranteed with that kind of a fine) and he doesn’t need Trump Tower anymore, because very likely he’s going to be banned from doing business in New York City and the entirety of the Empire State.

Oh, what a wicked web we weave when first we practice to defraud everybody and everything we come in contact with. For the truth is, not only does Everything Trump Touches Dies but eventually, like a scorpion stinging himself, Trump will self-destruct.

Today’s massive judgment and Engoron’s verdict in a few days are key pieces. No wonder Trump’s up all night melting down on social media.

Meanwhile, Habba is digging the hole deeper.

More to come as this gets resolved. This could be an explosive and decisive day for Trump and the same kind of week as Engoron finishes his deliberations.

  1. Habba-Dabba actually said “Trump has no more control over ‘social media opinions as he does over the weather’?”

Um, she DOES understand that he has FULL control over the “social media opinions” that HE issues, right? Nobody else has been out there spewing their crap opinions about Ms Carroll that didn’t originate with Trump.

    • File this under the same argument re: J6 insurrectionists. They “chose” to come. Yes, they did. After Trump tweeted, “Be there. Will be wild.” He loved starting a riot. He watched it on TV for three hours before he did anything to stop it. He even rewound portions that he particularly liked.

  2. He didn’t storm out because he knows it’s going bad for him. That’s too logical. He stormed out because he didn’t get to say what HE WANTED TO and do a little campaign speech about harm to him. In his feeble mind – he is still the victim and damn Carroll to hell for doing this to him! Then wait……let’s see what the jury does – they too will be victimizing him because he’s the candidate. Never about his behavior or b.s. spewing. Never.

    • It’s amazing that he’s incapable of admitting any kind of wrongdoing or failure. I’ve never met anybody like this and I’ve never even heard of anybody so lacking in humility. And this is the kind of flawed character makeup we want running the country, right?

      • Clearly Ursula you’ve never been married to a malignant narcissist. I have. Believe me they are capable of the highest betrayal, the most blatant lies, the absolute ruin of even those who has literally saved their life, and willing to trade the love and respect of their children for monetary gain. I won’t bother giving details but you are seeing it in real time. Believe your eyes and ears! Right Maya Angelou? RIP

  3. Well it’s in the bag. The jury has awarded E. Jean Carroll an additional $83 million in reputational and punitive damages. So no ketchup bottle is safe tonight.

Could Joe Tacopina be the next target of the rapist’s anger for advising him not to testify in the first trial, and could that be the reason for him bailing? This is gonna get extremely entertaining.
