Fox News doesn’t want Donald Trump on its airwaves, but it is willing to put up with him on its digital platform, evidently. We can conclude that from an exclusive interview which Fox Digital did with TFG Monday morning, one week after the now-historic execution of a search warrant on Mar-a-Lago, commonly referred to as “the raid.” Fox News:

EXCLUSIVE: Former President Trump said he “will do whatever” he can “to help the country,” after the FBI’s raid of his Mar-a-Lago home last week, telling Fox News Digital that the “temperature has to be brought down,” while stressing that the American people are “not going to stand for another scam.”

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital Monday morning, his first since the raid, Trump said he had his representatives reach out to the Justice Department to offer to help amid outrage over the FBI’s unprecedented raid on his private residence last week, in which agents seized classified records, including some marked as top secret. Trump is disputing the classification of those records, saying the records have been declassified.

“The country is in a very dangerous position. There is tremendous anger, like I’ve never seen before, over all of the scams, and this new one—years of scams and witch hunts, and now this,” Trump said.

Parse through this one, friends. Trump is upset because there is “tremendous anger.” He seems to forget that he’s the one stirring the pot, all the way from “fight like hell or you’re not going to have a country,” to “knock the crap out of them and I’ll pay the legal bills.” Trump’s calls to violence are legion.

Trump told Fox News that his team “has not heard yet” from the Justice Department on whether they will accept his offer for help.

“I think they would want the same thing—I’ve never seen anything like this,” Trump said. “It is a very dangerous time for our country.”

I wonder what “help” he thinks he can give? The cat is pretty much out of the bag right now. I think Trump wants the DOJ to help him and make all the bad publicity go away.

Trump told Fox News that FBI agents “break in and take whatever they want to take.”

Trump said FBI agents told his team on the Mar-a-Lago premises to “turn off the camera,” and said “no one can go through the rooms.”

“They could take anything they want, and put anything they want in,” Trump said of the FBI agents. “My people were asked to stand outside.”

Trump went on to suggest that the FBI “could have planted anything they wanted” during the raid.

This is a recurring theme that the FBI was doing something inappropriate, including going through Melania’s closets and messing with her clothes. This is despite the fact that it’s been reported that Trump could see the FBI via closed circuit camera from his home in New York. He believes, apparently, that privileged documents and Melania’s clothing were removed — and he wants them back. At least the documents. Melania can ask for the clothes herself, we guess.

“By copy of this Truth.” Ladies and gentlemen, you are now on notice, a “copy of a Truth” from Donald Trump — or we presume, anyone — has the full force and effect of a subpoena duces tecum. And why should that surprise you? We have recently learned that Trump can declassify documents merely by standing over them and saying, “Behold. Thou Art Declassified.” Or something.

Is Melania missing her “I Really Don’t Care Do U?” pea coat? Is that what all this is about?

In the days since the warrant was executed, the FBI and DHS have seen an increase in “violent threats” against law enforcement, judiciary and government personnel, including a particular threat to “place a so-called Dirty Bomb in front of FBI headquarters,” according to the bulletin.

“General calls” for “civil war” and “armed rebellion” have also increased in recent days on social media.

Trump’s response to that is to say that the “temperature needs to come down.” Great, Donald, you tell people to chill. It’s your followers doing this, nobody else.

  1. Isn’t that a threat? Isn’t that being a domestic enemy? Everyone on Capital Hill can stand on their oath. Not sure how many more i’s and t’s need to be dotted and crossed but this has to end soon. Or….his bull shit verbiage needs to end asap!

  2. I can’t help but think Trump had a brain fart/flash from a West Wing episode – the show ran back before he got into being a political rabble rouser and was friends with even the Clintons. But he forgot the main message. Anyway, your line about standing over boxes saying “you are declassified might well have been his addled NOT-very-fine-brain remembering this scene:

As for turning down the temperature there is plenty he could do but NEVER will do. He could actually cooperate and provide documents and testimony without forcing investigators to issue a subpoena – and complying instead of fighting out every little detail to SCOTUS if he can take it that far. (He would still retain the right to refuse to answer specific questions to investigators or in front of a grand jury AND if he didn’t kick up a fuss at worst there’s only be rumors of not being completely cooperative).

He could even cut himself one hell of a sweetheart deal. Yes, it would infuriate both liberals and conservatives (for very different reasons) but he could choose to plead guilty to two or three of his lesser crimes for say a five to fifteen year sentence and a fine. A big one that would get notice and make him financially bleed some. The sentence would include the first five years being under House Arrest at Mar A Lago where the Secret Service detail would NOT be hand-picked by Trump and would have some FBI agents as well as some National Security Specialists included. The remaining years would be him being on probation.

That’s a LOT more lenient and frankly luxurious conditions than he deserves.

The plea agreement would also preclude him from dining in the main dining room when regular guest/club members were present AND attending events (i.e. weddings, political fundraisers, etc.) during those five years of house arrest. Trump would also have to disband his PAC and fundraising, transferring those assets into an account that under COURT SUPERVISION he could use to pay reasonable legal expenses – but he would have no direct authority to spend a dime of it without the court/judge signing off on it.

This last part is tricker because it delves into first amendment issues but I think in the past agreements have been worked out and one could maybe be worked out in this case. Keep his fucking mouth shut. At least about politics/world affairs and if he issues any statements they would have to be limited to stuff about the Trump Org. and his “deals.” (Assuming anyone will still do business with him) Basically a gag order which if I’m not mistaken has in fact continued for certain criminals beyond their trials. Sort of a don’t make waves or your ass will be hauled off to prison, or if already in prison privileges will be taken away.

THAT would, after the initial explosion drop the proverbial temperature down to more or less normal levels. However, as I said there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell Trump would ever agree to something like that even though it’s FAR more lenient than he deserves. Personally I want to see his ugly orange ass frog-marched into prison wearing steel bracelets and of course the in-processing photo of him in the scratchy orange polyester jumpsuit which would happen AFTER he’d taken his first prison shower prior to his medical checkup.

But for the good of the country, I would grit my teeth and accept the kind of deal I’ve laid out. Limited to his personal suite of rooms at Mar A Lago and an isolated outside area and unable to communicate on social media he’d quickly be forgotten. Including and especially by the GOP establishment and Fox News who would move their attention to filling the power vacuum in the conservative (bowel) movement. Remember, felony convictions would preclude him from holding office again and if he can’t be President he’s more of a liability to the GOP than an asset. Hell, most of them would (even if they’d never admit it) be glad to no longer have him sucking up all the oxygen and more importantly so much of the political donations!

      • I want the same thing. I didn’t say I wanted Trump to get a deal along the lines of what I outlined, only that as much as it would suck I could learn to deal with it IF the terms meant he was disqualified from running for office again and a gag order preventing him from any presence on social media was serious and enforced. He’d fade quickly from the scene, and not being able to hobnob with guests he’d be able to hear yucking it up at his club, or heading to the gold course would drive him crazy. Still not enough punishment for me, you and countless others but hell comes in different forms for different people. However, as I also said that would be one sweetheart deal and a sane person in Trump’s position would grab it. Not Trump. No fucking way. He’ll want to fight it out tooth and nail and may well learn a bitter lesson many other criminals offered good deals (better than they deserved) have learned the hard way – make the govt. go all out in court and they will drop the whole smash on someone!

      • I don’t think we do that anymore. We do plant their asses in prison for a very long time which in former guy’s case will mean he’ll die their.
