Trump Stumps At Wake In New Low

This latest stunt of Donald Trump’s is backfiring in record time. He went to New York to attend a wake for slain officer Johnathan Diller, who was killed during a traffic stop. While there he cut a campaign promo, such is his wont to do no matter what is taking place or where on any given day. Does it occur to him that maybe what he’s doing is unwanted jingoism and in poor taste? Are you kidding?

No, he’s only too happy to crash the wake like he regularly crashes weddings at Mar-a-Lago. On those occasions he doesn’t talk about the happy bride and groom and what a wonderful life they’ll have together, which is traditional. No, he talks about how much more he won by in 2020 and how he’s leading in 2024. There is nothing that a newly wed couple is more concerned about, right? So from that off base programming, we have gotten to this.

But Trump wants to release the J6 convicted criminals who attacked the Capitol and DC Police.

Well, yes, there is that minor contradiction. You see, if you’re breaking into the Capitol and breaking police officers’ heads doing that, then you’re a hero and later on when you go to prison for breaking the law, then you’re a “political hostage.” But if Trump can use an officer’s death to shill for donations and votes, then that’s something on an entirely different moral plane.

Jim Jordan understands it. He praised Trump, and got resoundingly shot down for it.

“No one Backs The Blue more than President Trump,” Jordan wrote.

“So then why did Donald Trump wait for over 3 hours to call off his insurrectionists who were beating Capitol Police officers?” one X user wrote.

“Tell that to the families of the law-enforcement officers brutally injured by his supporters on 6 Jan – the ones he calls hostages,” wrote another.

The social media account for Republican Voters Against Trump shared Jordan’s post alongside a Truth Social post from Trump from last year, where he called on Republicans in congress to “defund the DOJ and the FBI.”

“No one…except around 100+million who ACTUALLY back the police and DON’T commit acts of treason. And since you brought it up, no one aids and abets sex-criminals as ardently as you do, Jordan,” an X user wrote.

“Didn’t really back em much on Jan. 6, Jimbo,” wrote another.

The suspected gunman, Guy Rivera, 34, was arraigned Thursday with murder of a police officer, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He remains hospitalized at Jamaica Hospital and is being held without bail.

The other suspect, 41-year-old Lindy Jones, was charged Wednesday with criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a defaced gun. He is also being held without bail.

There is no low they won’t go. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. Friday is Good Friday and maybe Trump will perform miracles for MAGA. We can only hope.

There is the swimming pool at Mar-a-Lago, he could stroll across it. Or, there’s the Atlantic Ocean. Or, better yet, he could go out in a boat with his disciples, how about 12 of them, since this is Easter? And while in the boat he could gracefully lower himself over the side and stroll down the waterway.

Remember when Chairman Mao was photoshopped into swimming in the Ganges and that made worldwide headlines — first, because it was evidence of the Chairman’s prowess and then secondly for the photoshop. It was a real hoot, too. The Chairman was swimming with his mouth closed, we are told.

But we expect Trump’s Easter miracle, using his Bibles and all, to be a much more professional job.
