We may have the makings of a movie here, a farce for certain, based on the tragi-comedy unfolding at the Centre Street Courthouse, where the Trump Organization fraud trial is behind held. Today was a particularly Bizarro World day. Former Trump employee Jeff McConney lost all composure on the witness stand and burst into tears. Man, you hardly ever saw that one on Perry Mason. Good thing Trump wasn’t in the room.

And what’s interesting here, is shortly after he pulled himself together, he let slip a very interesting piece of information. As I stated in an earlier post here today, Trumpty Dumpty is busy posting conspiracy theory on Truth Social because he’s got to distract bigly from a scene in New York that went from bad to worse.

Washington Press:

When Trump purchased Mar-a-Lago, he signed documents promising that he would never try to use it as a private residence, but would keep it as a business property — something that he’s admitted on the stand he didn’t really feel was binding. He also acknowledged that this lowered his tax rates.

On Tuesday, McConney admitted that the property was valued as a private residence in other documentation — a decision that inflated its dollar value.

He complained that he’s unable to “relax” because he keeps facing allegations of misrepresentations of property values, and then dropped what might be a bombshell — if his statement is accurate.

McConney said he’s been subpoenaed by the Southern District of New York, only hours before his testimony.

It could mean that someone — Allen Weisselberg or Trump, perhaps — is about to face additional charges.

His statements, however, were unclear, and he could have been speaking about an earlier incident and mixing up charging entities, according to Law360‘s Stuart Bishop.

McConney received immunity in the previous probe of the Trump Organization, and admitted to committing acts of fraud himself, as he shared with investigators about the roles of Allen Weisselberg and others. The New Republic reported:

“McConney also admitted to helping fraudulently inflate the value of multiple Trump Organization real estate assets. One such property was the Seven Springs estate in Westchester, New York.”

At that time, McConney admitted he had valued the properties as though the development was complete, though completion was projected to be years away and the property eventually left Trump’s hands unfinished.

He also admitted that he had, at Weisselberg’s request, created false employee documentation for the CFO’s wife, who did not work for the company, to enable her to apply for Social Security benefits.

Ouch. That last one is a killer. That is direct fraud against the federal government and that’s a no no. This may be Trump’s Al Capone moment. You well remember that the feds just couldn’t hang Al Capone on violation of the Volstead Act although he broke that law with the regularity that the rest of us brush our teeth. But King Alphonse, as he was known, was finally incarcerated for income tax evasion.

This could be Trump’s undoing, his Al Capone moment right here. It’s not implausible. Remember that the FBI raid (alright, technically it was an execution of a search warrant) last year was occasioned by the librarians at NARA.

The devil is in the details, remember that always. And take note, something lit a fire under Trump today.

  2. For those who are receiving SSDI (Disability) there is a
program called Ticket to Work which gives the individual
a more doable chance at attempt working again while allowing
them to receive the SSDI income and Medicare for like nine months.
Should they not be successful at working they can revert back to
receiving the benefit w/o having to go through the typically ardous process
    of reapplying and waiting.

It seems that the trump org cons have found a loophole in SS
whereby they (trump org) are issuing a Ticket to Not Work scot free.
