As we all know by now, Donald Trump is, shall we say, excitable. On some days it almost seems like he wakes up in rant mode and stays that way all day long. There are a lot of people that leave him in a foul mood: special counsel Jack Smith, Justice Arthur Engoron, New York Attorney General Letitia James, Fulton County (Georgia) District Attorney Fani Willis, President Joe Biden (naturally), and journalist E. Jean Carroll. Especially E. Jean Carroll.

Right now, anyway.

He was really on a roll Thursday morning, firing off an astonishing 30 Truth Social posts within 30 minutes. All directed at Carroll, who successfully sued him for defamation and sexual battery last year and currently suing him all over again, Raw Story reports. He was all up in it again in the evening, firing off more posts.

Is it the Adderall, maybe?

Trump seemed to use a 2019 Vanity Fair interview with Carroll for inspiration, taking the quotes out of context to denigrate her character, especially one comment in particular by Carroll, where she said she is living a “fabulous” life. But he also paid special attention to another comment where she confessed to “flashing” a professor on her college campus.

Leave it to Trump to use his special brand of misogyny to attack Carroll and perhaps face another lawsuit from the former Elle columnist and it’s anyone’s guess as to why he keeps inviting more legal problems for himself.

As if that weren’t enough he also quoted right-wing reporter Byron York, who wrote, “Tech billionaire Reid Hoffman is bankrolling Carroll’s case. Like so many others involved on Carroll’s side, Hoffman is profoundly anti-Trump. He is also not afraid to push the envelope of anti-Trumpism; in 2018, he apologized for funding a group that secretly imitated Russian disinformation tactics in an attempt to benefit the Democrat in Alabama’s special election for the U.S. Senate.”

Hey, what’s not to like about this dude? Depending upon which site you refer to, Carroll has a networth of $2 million to $5 million. While that’s impressive, it’s small potatoes compared to the wealth of the man who sexually assaulted her and tried to destroy her reputation. I’m no legal expert, but I think lawsuits like this can cost millions, so if Reid is helping her, that’s a good thing.

I don’t think there’s anyone who’s stuck on repeat more than Trump is and he posted the line below several times, each time accompanying it with various images, per Raw story:

“Except for a fraudulent case against me, i had no idea who e. jean carroll was. she called her african american husband an ‘ape,’ and named her cat ‘vagina.’ look at her tweets, stories, and the cnn interview about her. the judge on the case is another highly partisan clinton-appointed friend. he should have recused himself long ago!”

Trump is really sweating this out and it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. He deserves all of this. All of the legal cases, indictments, charges against him are entirely well-deserved. And in this case, folks on social media have thoughts.

“our gal e. jean is making him so very nervous,” observed law professor jen taub on her social media Thursday.
