There are only a couple of possibilities here: 1) Donald Trump thinks people actually believe him and in all fairness, the MAGAs probably do. They know nothing about how government works. 2) Trump honestly believes what he’s saying. 3) Trump has no idea where fantasy ends and reality begins, so it doesn’t matter what he believes or not. He’s too far gone. As always, put out the Bat Signal for niece, Mary. Maybe she’s got a handle on this.

Mark Levin of Fox News recently did an interview with Trump. He aired some clips last week and this week as well.

They’re all ludicrous, but I particularly like this NATO one.

In no world, in no time in history did that happen. But, again, Trump is banking on people not knowing how NATO works, like he banked on people not knowing how tariffs worked. In both instances, only Diligent Donnie, the single and only president who would actually president this country, unlike the others who were merely president in name, confronted deadbeats and boy, did they got shook fast, and the money came pouring into the treasury. Right.

And there’s more where that came from.

The bottom clip is great. Pure megalomania. He and he alone made the Olympics sell out.

And then it got surreal.

I think the magic of Trump is, it doesn’t matter if you don’t know what you’re talking about as long as you don’t know that you don’t know what you’re talking about. As long as you think you know what you’re talking about and you are tone deaf to all information to the contrary, then it really doesn’t matter. Because you will sound like you know what you’re talking about and that’s all that matters. Remember, this is television. For sure, that’s all that matters, not what was right or wrong but what sounded okay.

Television was originally hailed as a wonderful medium that would record reality, as it took place. What wasn’t known at the time is that television itself would become the reality. And that’s the world in which we live and that’s the world that made it possible for Donald Trump to become president. He sounds okay on TV. Sorta, Because even by that standard, he can’t hold up too well for too long.
