Guess which obese orange person got caught with his hands in the cookie jar, yet once again? That’s right, it’s Donald Trump, he who would have you believe that he worked for free in the White House and didn’t need any campaign money to get there in the first place because he’s such a mega massive major league billionaire. He’s not and every indication is that whenever he gets his hands on cash it doesn’t get used for the purpose(s) that it was collected for. Here’s the gist of the latest Trump thievery story from Daily Beast:

A legal defense fund for Donald Trump appears to have placed its spending priorities in a strange place: Mar-a-Lago.

New tax filings show Trump’s legal defense fund raising about $1.6 million over the last six months and spending less than $30,000. But more notable than how little the legal defense group has spent is what they didn’t spend it on—namely, legal services—as well as what they paid for: a party at Mar-a-Lago.

The group—a political nonprofit called the “Patriot Legal Defense Fund”—was created by Trump campaign officials in July to help pay down the beleaguered former president’s snowballing court costs.

While the fund can accept unlimited donations from both individuals and corporations, its first periodic financial report, submitted to the Internal Revenue Service on Wednesday, indicates a phlegmatic start, with only about $1.6 million in receipts. (Trump’s 2024 campaign had raised about $56.7 million as of Sept. 30.) Even more alarming from the group is that the majority of that money—$1 million—came from a single contribution, given by a donor couple whose previous association with QAnon conspiracy theory forced the campaign to cancel a fundraiser ahead of the 2020 election.

Now, this is a glaring issue, because non profits have a fiduciary duty to donors to make sure that the money is used for what the money was collected for. That is as simple as it gets. And of course, that kind of thing doesn’t exist in Trump world. The only operant principle there is caveat emptor. If you deal with Donald, don’t complain when he bites you. You knew he was a snake when you took him in right? Mary Trump chimes in.

This is a fundamental principle of non-profit law. If a non-profit misuses funds, it is FRAUD.”

The last time a Donald-related fund faced scrutiny, people went to prison.

BUILD THE WALL co-founder Brian Kolfage was sentenced to four years in prison for pocketing money raised to build a wall on the US-Mexico border, after falsely promising donors all funds would go to the project.

Two other co-defendants, Andrew Badolato and Timothy Shea, were sentenced to three and five years in prison respectively. Steve Bannon was also charged in the scheme received a last-minute pardon from Donald at the end of his term. He’ll face NY state related charges in 2024 — and Donald can’t pardon him on state charges.

This is the level of corruption and potentially criminal activity that Donald constantly surrounds himself with and condones.

It is up to us to make enough noise that these crimes don’t fall below the radar.

Hear, hear, Mary. Unfortunately, with respect to Trump, his crimes are so numerous and back to back that they form a cacophony of crime, a symphony of sedition, a coda of corruption. It never stops. But, with any luck, we’ll be able to stop him or at the very least prevent him from getting anywhere near public office again. That’s a feat which the GOP would have ensured had they not been so totally corrupt themselves.

  1. Of course the money went straight into DON THE CON’S pocket, the King of Grift.
What clueless ignoramous is surprised by this…. besides the thousands of MAGA faithful?

  2. It is a very effective technique. Commit so many crimes so quickly and continuously that they all just run together and no-one can tell them apart.

Hiding his criminal offending in a camouflage of criminal offending might just be the most original thing he’s done.

And as he’s finding out, some people can tell them apart, and act on what they know.

  3. We know trump doesn’t pay his lawyers, but if you have this much sitting there that is required for legal bills why not spend it? Just seems strange to me more than anything.

    • It may be possible, that in Trump’s micro intelligence, he foresees a break-away flight to a very nice spot in a country without rules of extradition back to the USA …

He would need a BUNCH of cash to hide out with max security and a full pantry/clean water, but he could NOT resist the need to get online with his putrid pack of lies and and vile attacks on much smarter and wealthy individuals, which might lead to his own demise … Trump has a REAL fear that someone will reach forward to him from the past with their own concern, because he was right in the middles with trafficking’s young girls to mega money people that would NOT like Trump to mumble something out about his former endeavors …

He WAS messing with deplorable people and did horrific things with money as his greatest need, was ready to get it at any cost to anyone, no matter how young they may be …

  4. I am ever so shocked another trump non-profit (for legal fees? WTF?) resulted in the money being used as he saw fit rather than on what he said the money would be spend upon. Shocked I tell you. He lied….again….I just find that astounding.

No. What I am shocked about is people believing he would use funds given to him for a certain purpose for that purpose. Even a chimpanzee learns after 50 or so times but not magats. To say magats are stupider than lower primates not only insults lower primates, it elevates them to a level (i.e. above toe fungus) that they have not earned.
