Scott Perry will be damned if you shut him out from “investigating” the people who found evidence of his intimate involvement with the insurrection, the January 6th Special Committee, and – even more importantly, the FBI.
How was Perry involved? Glad you asked. We have an answer from Politico. Scott Perry was one of Meadows’s point men in trying to get DOJ to claim the election was fraudulent:
Scott Perry, who said this week that the FBI had seized his cell phone, has publicly tied the agency’s actions to its search of Donald Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago. There’s no evidence the two are directly connected — and more details suggest they’re part of two separate investigations.
The FBI’s handling of the Pennsylvania Republican represents a rare step against a sitting member of Congress. But the seizure follows months of growing evidence of Perry’s deep involvement in Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election — just as investigators are taking more overt steps to investigate Trump allies’ efforts to deploy the Justice Department in service of disrupting the transition of power.
Yes, though we like to say that the law is applied without fear or favor, it isn’t often that the FBI will get a warrant to seize a congressman’s phone, especially one from the other party. The DOJ, neutral as it is, is still under a Democratic president. If Trump were president, Perry would be getting the medal of freedom.
Cassidy Hutchinson testified that Perry requested a pardon.
Perry never got his name there.
The point is that neither party is going to dispute that Perry is sort of ground zero when it comes to elected politicians participating in Trump’s secret plans to keep the White House. Given that the FBI got a judge to sign off on a warrant, someone has seen some very compelling evidence. Even some Republicans might want to keep Perry off committees “investigating the investigators” (See Substack article attached below).

So, the idea of keeping him – a man with a conflict so large that it is truly “weaponizing” the government, is staying to threaten those who investigated him? (Listen closely, and you hear the sound of democracy swirling down a drain.) He is appalled that Democrats are “weaponizing” the government. This is a man who went down the list of top deputies at DOJ to find someone who would sign a letter saying they found fraud in the election, boosting the case for delay after January 6th. Perry found the top of the Environmental Division.
The only reason that they did not go through with it is that the serving A.G. and three top deputies threatened to resign. But it’s not all bad. Perry did do us the favor of coming up with a snappy little meme, “WTFG,” or – as it shall be known, “WTF governing” under the GOP House.

DOJ won’t tell them anything.
But they might arrest a few of them, after the idjits run their mouths a bit too much.
Special Counsel Jack Smith is now in charge of investigating the Jan 6 coup plotters and those who’ve known and worked with him over the last 30 years, describe him as decisive, aggressive, and totally committed to ensuring justice is done. Perry and his fellow perpetrators should be afraid, very afraid.
They will all be hell bent on trying to figure out how to stop Jack Smith – that’s their primary focus now – because they know what they did & what the plot was intended to achieve. They know their only way to stay out of jail now is to kill the investigations dead with reverse engineering. I just wish there were not so many ignorant humans out there ready to agree to any lies or demolition of anything labeled ‘LEFT’ !

Well, he’s putting it out there for everyone. And if he gets the committee assignment(s) he wants and follows through on his threats he will be committing overt acts. What the hell am I talking about you ask? Obstruction of Justice! One of the infuriating things about our legal system is that white collar folks, the rich and powerful (almost always white guys) cause prosecutors, especially federal ones break out in hives over charging them. And they and pundits on TV sing sad songs about the “problem” is proving INTENT. Like they’d worry for a second if it was any of us involved in trying to orchestrate some scheme at the local or county level. I for one think that’s a question for a jury. In this instance with Perry what the hell else will prosecutors need? He’s literally braying in in public!
We thought we needed them to balance out our government, but when they get this far out & crooked, there’s no purpose in having them. But we do have them, we just didn’t think they’d ever, ever be this low.

I might be wrong but I remember something about this Perry dude being connected to Lev Parnas and selling tanks of propane to Ukraine. Someone might want to look that up. They were messing with Ukraine probably before Hunter Biden. Don’t remember all of it but it was where they got on Hunter Biden. And if there’s anything there it might be interesting to bring it up now.
The past 5 years or so has been a total spider’s web of criming such that it’s hard to remember it all – everything hinged on Mueller’s findings for a long time & now we are seeing just how far reaching the plot was – it’s hard to keep the whole picture in mind ! In fact it’s hardly surprising the DOJ has been taking a long time to figure out where the guilt stops & we may never know the whole picture since it seems multiple pols were in on it & it’s likely that was the tip of the iceberg !
