Well, I guess it had to happen sooner or later. West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin is finally happily paddling around in the bipartisanship pond, so his wingman, Senate chorus girl Krysten Sinema, so fond of boogying across the Senate floor doing a steppin’-fetchit before theatrically throwing a John McCain thumbs down on a vote, had to try to steal the spotlight.

Senator Sinema is now spouting off about how she cannot support the current Democratic led soft infrastructure reconciliation bill, because of Budget Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders $3.5 trillion price tag. It’s like somebody told her that a part of the tab was going on her personal Visa card.

I think it’s high time that somebody makes an effort to educate Senator Sinema’s constituents as to just how much she is getting ready to fuck with their personal health and well being. Because after Florida, her home state of Arizona has one of the highest rate of permanent, full time retirees in the nation. You know, old farts like me, although I personally live next door in Nevada.

We frost tops tend to live on fixed incomes, and for the vast majority of us, Medicare is our primary source of healthcare. And what is one of the prominent features of the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill? Bernie Sanders wants to expand the Medicare plan for all Americans. He wants to lower the eligibility age, add hearing, dental, and vision coverage to Medicare, and remove the co-pays and deductibles from the program. Basically, he wants to make American seniors as healthy as possible in their remaining years without driving them broke.

Right now, Sinema is feeling bulletproof, after all, memories in politics are short, and she doesn’t cycle up for reelection again until 2024. But she could stop feeling bulletproof real quick if junior Senator Mark Kelly, who is up in 2022, and is following the party line, cruises to reelection and makes her look like an outsider.

As soon as possible, one or more progressive groups in Arizona need to start seriously educating Arizona senior voters on the feature of the Democrat’s Senate reconciliation bill, spotlighting the enhancements to the Medicare benefits that will make their lives easier and more comfortable. Sinema is a craven political opportunist. As a Green Party candidate, she was all in on ending the filibuster before she had her kumbaya moment for the Jim Crow relic. This is no time for dicking around. Time to turn up the heat.

    • A lot of us voted for her but won’t make that mistake again if at all possible. I’d be happy if she’d bugger off to Florida and stay there. I think she’d fit in easily, as she strikes me as a self indulgent air head.

      • What makes a definition a definition is that it is widely agreed upon. Your personal idiosyncratic definition is not a defense. Also why is reference to a body part widely understood to be an insult anyway? Supposedly body shame went out of style a long time ago. You may as well have called her an elbow.

      • Is that why you seem to need to include the ‘c’ word in most of your responses? It’s offensive and is misogynist, especially since you aim it at women, despite your claim otherwise. Maybe you could find different insulting word to show your disregard and disrespect of these people.

  1. Opposing $3.5 trillion is not the same as supporting $0. We really need substantive analysis. I was hoping that this would be the site to provide it.

    • Wrong site. This is really more about the politics of it all. Actual analysis of the infrastructure package is way beyond the scope of this little blurb.

      • Even so, it appears that a lot of site users would rather indulge in gratuitous slander rather than look at the issues objectively. Sinema may very well be correct to oppose all the extra add-ons in the $3.5 trillion version. The bandwagon condemnation of her in nothing but the grown-up version of stupid peer pressure, the garbage many of us had to endure in junior high and high school. The fact is she SUPPORTS fixing and upgrading US infrastructure, and she supports Biden’s $1.2 trillion version. On the other hand, money will never be cheaper than it is right now. So a good argument for the bloated version is that we may as well stop postponing all the stuff we say we want and simply just do it while doing it is the cheapest it can possibly be.

  2. Despite running as a democrat, Sinema always plays to rich donors, not to the bottom 47%. She thinks of us as too “dirty” to deserve congressional favor– or healthcare or even healthy food. Sinema is all about Sinema. How is she different from Boebert?

    • She isn’t. That’s why she either needs to have the facts of life explained to her or she needs to be pushed to the side until 2024 and have leadership support her primary opponent. And she will be primaried.

    • Used to be Krysten Sinema’s constituent and voted for her many times. Admired her while she was in the House and Senate in AZ. She’s really changed from her roots. Started out as a Progressive, then became more moderate when she ran for and won the moderate-conservative North Phoenix 15th District, taking a page from McCain in being a champion for vets – except she actual voted for vets as opposed to McCain who was more talk than action. Has become even more of a Blue Dog in the past few years while a US Senator.

Many years ago, a GOP co-worker who later became a Trump supporter lived right next to her and used to report on all the loud fights she had with her boyfriend at the time. I brushed it off. Maybe shouldn’t have.

Wonder if the GOP has something on her and is turning the screws on her to keep it from becoming public and ruining her political career. She needs to get her spine back from all her marathon running days and stand up for her roots and lead.

No, not even close to Boebert in any way. Boebert is a racist redneck pretender. Would vote for Sinema in 2024 if I still lived in AZ over any GOP-Nazi candidate she’ll be up against, but would much prefer Greg Stanton run against her in the 2024 primary and knock her off. Something is seriously wrong with her now. She’s not coming from a position of strength. She’s not her own person anymore.

      • Well, recently a video surfaced of a petro lobbyist describing her as one of his “bought and paid-for” Congresscritters. That may bed part of it.

  3. Somebody needs to tell Schumer to take her aside and explain the facts of life in the Senate especially the part about how to stay in it. I’m real f*cking tired of these two half-wits and their happy horse-sh*t but at least Manchin is perhaps starting to see some sense. This idiot broad needs to have a little come to the goddess moment with the power brokers in the senate.

She also needs to take a look at her polling numbers.

  4. That SNAKE thinks she a rock star! She is as delusional as loony trump! Maybe dumb dumb will trade his alien in for her?
