Wow! Today we were treated to a legal twofer the kind you almost never get to see. And wouldn’t you know it? Both of them dealt with Traitor Tot’s suddenly ever closing legal problems. And in both cases it couldn’t have gone worse for Trump.
Let’s start with the Manhattan criminal trial for election interference. This was an already scheduled pre-trial motion hearing, meant for both sides to argue pre-trial motions so that the judge can rule in a timely manner, and also to confirm the trial date. traitor Tot was present in the courtroom, presumably to fold his arms and scowl at the judge. News Flash! It didn’t work.
As I’ve read it, the judge almost gleefully blew off Trump’s trivial motions to either drop the charges or delay the trial further. Then the judge popped up his can of whoop Ass! and got down to serious business.
He asked Trump’s barred imbecile for his argument as to why the judge should delay the trial. Trump’s ambulance chaser replied with a standard Traitor Tot stump speech. His first Amendment rights to free speech, his supporters First Amendment rights to hear the racist prattle from The Cheeto prophet from his own flabby lips, and the fact that taking Trump off of the campaign trail in the middle of the primaries could cause his run for the White House irreparable harm.
I love this judge, he’s wicked, and he let it fly. He listened politely to Trump’s counsel’s argument, nodded his head, and asked, Thank you counsellor. Now, what’s your legal argument? Trump’s mouthpiece respoinded that that was his legal argument. To which the judge solemnly retorted, No Sir, that was your political argument, I’m asking you for your legal argument. For which The bargain basement lawyer had none to offer.
But I really loved the way that the judge turned one of Trump’s own arguments against his lawyer. One of the lawyer’s arguments was that Trump could suffer irreparable harm from being taken off of the campaign trail for six weeks or more. The judge looked down, and said I’m looking at a statement from a campaign rally where your client said, “Can you believe I got indicted again? But who cares! Every time I get indicted, my polling numbers jjump by 10 points! If I can just get indicted one more time, I might as well just move back inyto tje White House tomorrow!” The judge politely asked that if that statement was true, how could spending 4-6 weeks on trial possibly damage his chances? For which there was no answer.
This judge, being in Manhattan, has obviously been paying close attention to what has been going on in the courtrooms of both federal Judge Engoron, as well as Manhattan Judge Kaplan. And he is obviously going to brook no bullsh*t from team Trump. Best off all? He has already contacted DC federal Judge Chutkan and gotten her blessings to start the trial. And ask yourself this. If you had the chance to be the first judge to preside over the first criminal trial of a former President, would you willingly give that up?
Which brings us to Fulton County, Georgia, and another brutal slap down for Team Trump. Today was something you almost never see, an evidentiary hearing on whether or not to remove a DA from a case. If she’s removed, the case could die while waiting for a GOP state prosecutor to assign it to a different DA.
It didn’t go well for Team Trump. Obviously Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee has also been doing his homework on the tactics of Trump’s legal street thugs. At one point, in response to a question from a Trump lawyer, another Trump lawyer snorted out a horse laugh. Judge McAfee angrily stopped the proceeding, turned to the lawyer and shot out, You, Sir, will be invited to leave this courtroom if you do that again!
It didn’t go well for Team Trump. Their star witness was a woman who worked with Willis in the DA’s office in 2019, before she was DA. She claimed, apparently without evidence that she saw indications of intimate contact between Willis and Wade all the way back in 2019, three years before Wade and Willis admitted that the relationship started. Bombshell testimony to be sure.
Until cross examination. Under cross the witness admitted that after Willis was elected DA in 2020, she gave the disgruntled employee the choice to either resign or be fired. She resigned, and the two had no contact since early 2020. So much for the bombshell witness.
It only got worse for Trump from there. I’ve been in a couple of courtrooms as a juror, and I’ve never seen anything like this. Normally, if a witness at a trial tries to get snotty, arrogant, or aggressive with a lawyer, the judge immediately slaps his d*ck down from the bench. decorum will be maintained.
But in Trump team questioning of both wade and Willis, they showered the Trump lawyers with their contempt. Both of them corrected the Trump’s lawyers clumsy, nonsensical questions with corrections of their own about what the lawyers really meant to ask. And then asnwered on their own terms. And Judge McAfee let them. Wade regularly grinned, shook his head, and even sneered at the questions.
Willis was even better, and here’s why. At the time that the Trump team was asking the judge to call Willis to the stand, the Willis lawyer was forcefully arguing that she shouldn’t have to testify since the Trump team had not met their burden of proof to force her to appear. And the judge seemed to be agreeing with her that the Trump team had not met their burden of proof when Willis, in a masterful show of legal baravao, pushed past her attorney saying I’ve got this, took the witness stand, and told the judge that she was waiving the objections in order to testify.
And then totally dismantled Team Trump. She had an answer for every question she was asked, and repeatedly interrupted the Trump lawyers to correct them on inaccurate points in their questions. And in doing so, she completely demolished the Trump team’s entire premise for the hearing.
The entire Trump premise was that Willis, acting as the /district Attorney, signed Wade to a phat contract as a special prosecutor on the Trump case, in return for which Wade spent the money on expensive vacations with Willis, a clear conflict of interest, monetary gain in return for a criminal prosecution.
Which Willis totally dismantled. Both she and Wade swore under oath that the affair didn’t start until after Willis appointed Wade as Special Prosecutor. Wade testified, with evidence that he had actually lost money working as a Special Prosecutor, since Willis capped the number of billable hours which Special Prosecutors could claim monthly, and Wade regularly worked well past that. And both testified under oath that Willis was an equal partner on the vacations, repaying Wade with cash from her own personal funds.
Willis will complete her testimony tomorrow, followed vy her father, and at least one more witness. But based on Judge McAfee’s conduct in court today, and the latitude he gave Wade and Willis to state their case today, I find it inconceivable that he will rule for Trump. After all, McAfee was busy agreeing with Willis’s lawyer that Team Trump hadn’t proven their case, and there was no reason for Willis to testify when she stormed in to get some of her own back.
I’m actually grateful that the Trump defense team pulled this cheap stunt. Because of that, Judge McAfee has now had a full body immersion into the defense tactics of Trump’s legal beagles. I find it inconceivable that he will side with their bullsh*t. And the Manhattan district judge has made it clear that he wants his case to go forward as expeditiously as possible. Trump is sh*t out of runway.

While it is very good Wade and Willis made their case against trump’s accusations, this trial happening at all is not a good thing. It will, regardless of the outcome, muddy things, give magats one more thing to whine about, and I’m sure give ammunition (well, pop caps) to the magats in congress for yet another unwarranted commission for yet another unwarranted hearing during which they make absurd accusations their base laps up like cream because: magats are not bright, believe every freaking thing their orange leader and RWNJ representives tell them to believe, and are ALWAYS looking for something that they feel will justify their use of violence be it of the J6 sort or mass shootings.

The hearing was prompted by the dotard’s lawyers FALSE claims about Willis and Wade. That’s all it is.
The very problem about this whole travesty is that dotard’s attempt to muddy the water is partly successful because of the very confusion it is raising: that some people think Willis & Wade are on trial for something. They aren’t. As Ms. Willis said yesterday, she’s not on trial, trump and his co-conspirators are on trial for trying to steal the 2020 election.
Don’t let dotard’s antics get in the way of facts. That’s what they’re trying to do here. Don’t let them get away with it. Roman is a republicons hit man and ratfucker in the Roger Stone playbook from way back. Do some research on him and you’ll learn just why he’s in among this group of miscreants.
Dragging Ms Willis through the mud by getting into her private life is disgusting and would never happen to a male in charge. She is a girl boss and I am proud of her.

It’s clear if the judge doesn’t cave and she proceeds with her case…Trump is royally phucked six ways to Sunday and twice on Monday. He will be headed to lockup. No need to worry about his financial ruin…he’ll have a roof over his head, a nice roommate, and free meals for years until his fatass takes a dirtnap.

This isn’t about the hardcore Trumpies, but the ones who may be wavering and the middle and upper middle class voters. We need a win to make it clear that he isn’t gonna help them. It is about peeling off a couple of percentage points to make them choose to vote Democracy or sit this one out. And quite a few voters have said that a criminal conviction will make them vote Dem, or at least not vote for Trump.
