The Cult of Trump has its high priestesses, who lie and debase themselves in the service of the Dreamsickle Deity. They find their way to the service of Trump through strange routes. Stephanie Grisham was fired from one job for cheating on expense reports and from another one for charges of plagiarism and two drunk driving charges. Jenna Wade comes to the top of the cult via the Weld County, Colorado D.A.’s office, where she was fired for making too many mistakes while adjudicating traffic tickets. What the two women have in common is a willingness to assail and badmouth anybody who disagrees with Donald Trump. That is the coin of the realm in Trump world, there is no other qualification needed.

While Ellis would never disagree with Trump, she apparently found colleague Lin Wood’s recent tweets regarding the arrest and summary execution of Mike Pence to be a bridge too far.

The internet is merciless. It never forgets. Here’s a comment from Ellis that isn’t aging well.

Now look at the big picture here. Sidney Powell went bonkers and she was disavowed by both Ellis and Rudy Giuliani. Now Lin Wood is going bonkers and Ellis is denouncing him. So what is left? Jenna and Rudy denouncing one another? Your guess is as good as anybody’s.

Now here’s a piece of this thread which I find highly entertaining and instructional. The lesson to be learned is that no matter what is said, just come up with a vicious and petty rejoinder and that will top all.

I guess “moving forward” in one’s career here is the operant phrase. Personally, I would rather have Molly Jong-Fast’s job any day to Jenna Ellis’. For that matter, I’d rather have my job any time to Ellis’. And Jong-Fast is five years older than Ellis, not that it matters. Point being, this is how Trump’s top lieutenants talk to everybody. It is schoolyard bully talk, commentary made to undermine, only, not to communicate. And certainly there is no level of rational public discourse in any of this. This toxin cannot be removed from Washington, D.C. fast enough.

Less than three weeks, folks.

  1. If getting plastered all over the news (and having her background which proves to people who live in the real world exposed she is in fact a worthless p.o.s.) as part of Rudy’s shit-show is “moving forward” I’d hate to see what she’d consider regression!

    • She’s like Grisham. She would have been a lower level player, if at all, but Trump came along and now she’s got the national spotlight. And she’ll try to stay there. She’ll have a show on OAN or Newsmax.

  2. “As always, should any of your legal team be caught doing something stupid, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your existence. Your reputation will self-destruct in five seconds…good luck, jerk!”

  3. Yeah. Shes got a point tho. Being a Editor at DailyBeast.. heh. Editors are a dime a dozen, no one will notice when they pass.

    Happy New Year.

    • Editors are not a “dime a dozen.” Journalism is a highly competitive field and the Daily Beast a prestigious outlet. Ellis would have to stand on a chair to kiss Jong-Fast’s ass — and I suspect you would too, from your idiotic comment.

    • Speaking as a writer…you know, the folks who has the most contact with editors…I can say that editors are not there to be noticed. Some exceptional ones do stand out like L. Sprague De Camp and Denny O’Neill (though Denny made his bones and rep as a writer first) but usually if a writer is good, it’s usually because their editor kept them honest.

On the flip side, CRITICS are even more disposable with few redeeming qualities whatsoever for the field…just saying.
