It’s no secret that the GOP frontrunner is openly broadcasting not only Hitler-esque commentary, calling his opponents “vermin” but is talking about incarcerating undesirable people in camps and restructuring the United States government so as to be unrecognizable the minute he resumes control — should that happen. It’s well known that Trump is cognitively slipping and that’s all the more reason to worry about the fact that he’s anywhere near the ballot to helm the highest office in our land.

Trump is up in years, stressed out, enraged, and becoming progressively more and more unhinged. That’s concerning, certainly, but not like what he’s saying he’s going to do when and if he gets back into office. He has said this before, of course. But the rhetoric is escalating: The enemy is us. The “vermin” are fellow Americans And he is coming for them.
So, once again, it is essential to pay attention. Trump may be clownish, but the clown car is carrying a neutron bomb. Possibly several.
Last week, the Washington Post detailed how Trump and allies are planning to weaponize the Justice Department to go after his opponents and critics. Trump himself confirmed as much.
This weekend, we got a deeper glimpse at Trump 2.0 from the NYT: “Sweeping Raids, Giant Camps and Mass Deportations: Inside Trump’s 2025 Immigration Plans.”
Former President Donald Trump is planning an extreme expansion of his first-term crackdown on immigration if he returns to power in 2025 — including preparing to round up people living in the United States without legal permission on a vast scale and detain them in sprawling camps while they wait to be expelled.

- He plans to scour the country for immigrants living here without legal permission and deport people by the millions per year.
- “Following the Eisenhower model, we will carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.” The reference was to a 1954 campaign to round up and expel Mexican immigrants that was named for an ethnic slur — “Operation Wetback.”
- To help speed mass deportations, Trump is preparing an enormous expansion of a form of removal that does not require due-process hearings.
- Trump wants to build huge camps to detain people while their cases are processed and they await deportation flights.
- Trump would redirect money in the military budget, as he did in his first term to spend more on a border wall than Congress had authorized.
Nota bene: He fully intends to do all of this by eliminating any possible impediments and guardrails.

We have indeed been warned. Trump is a fascist strongman. He has told us that he intends to destroy democracy and institute fascism. His MAGA cult is all in for it — being clueless that they’re throwing away rights that they have had their entire lives and have taken for granted. Not just his resorts, but the country at large. I’m pretty sure it will be a huge blow to the economy.
All the “red” states which produced harsh anti-immigrant policies over the past decade or so have seen their own industries (particularly agriculture) just undergo massive problems with replacing the “undesirables.” In Alabama, after an anti-immigrant bill was put into effect, farmers found that they couldn’t hire people to replace the immigrants (mostly “undocumented” workers) without cutting into their own profit margins. It turned out there really wasn’t that many “legal” workers who wanted to spend 10-12 hour days harvesting crops and working for minimum wage (or less). And, of course, in the past couple of years, the same thing’s happened in Florida and all those agribusinesses which had been so supportive of DeSantis’s anti-immigrant policies in the abstract found out that reality was indeed a very harsh mistress as the undocumented workers fled the state and, again, the state’s agribusiness companies couldn’t really replace them all that easily.

What concerns me most is that as this psychopath grows more desperate and realizes he has no chance of winning in a fair election, he will move his plans forward and attempt to disrupt the process. He still has enough resources and crazies to unleash a terrorist attack, which he could blame on Biden, or Obama, or the radical leftists, or antifa, or the corrupt justice system, or ‘the Jews,’ or whatever target serves his purpose at the moment. I thought trump’s talk about deconstructing government would consist of appointing loyal people to head the different departments of government. Then I read an article about his Project 2025. What an eye opener. They have a book, instruction videos, classes that give certification and much more. This will not be like his last administration where the new department heads did not attend the transition meetings. This time they will come in prepared to take over on day one!
