The Select Committee Investigating January 6 has announced that it will depose four of Donald Trump’s closest aides.

The wheels of justice grind slowly, but they do grind relentlessly. This is going to shine some light on not only a dark day in American history, but a despicable one, where the sitting president of the United States saw fit to incite a riot.

This is being called the political showdown to end all political showdowns. The people subpoenaed are likely to claim executive privilege. Here’s a good clip examining the parameters of this dispute. It’s 9:24 but worth the listen. If you’re pressed for time, fast forward to 5:43 and listen to Glenn Kirshner speak. Hear what he has to say about the crime/fraud exception to invoking executive privilege.

Things are heating up.

And of course, Trumpty Dumpty had to get his two cents in.

He thinks it’s a put down to call them the “Unselect Committee.”

  1. The criminals had a grande ol’ time dancing on the Constitution at the Seditionist’s Ball……

…..but now it’s time to pay the band.

  2. Let me guess what he says IF he shows: “Yada Yada yada.” The appropriate response would to lead his arrogant ass out in legirons & zipties. Of course, that only happens to broke dads with no job owing child support. Nevermind.

    • There is that holding facility available to Congress for just for things like this. They may not have used it in…hell, I’ve no idea, but it is there for use and contempt of Congress is a good enough reason to use it. Quite frankly I cannot think of a better person to put into the cell than Bannon. Put in and conveniently forgotten…
