I’m going slightly mad. I’m gong slightly mad.   Queen Slightly Mad

When it comes to politics, Emperor Numbus Nuttus knows more about that as he does about fancy French wine. Which he could put both on the head of a pin, and still have room for The Lord’s Prayer.

Yet even His Lowness had enough political savvy to issue an edict. Lay. Off. Of. Abortion! Trump said that in the last month of the 2022 midterms, and after the 2022 debacle he publicly blames the GOP’s piss poor showing on their insistence in pushing an issue they could only lose. And if you’ve noticed, in his public statements and rallies, Trump avoids the issue of abortion like a piranha in his underwear drawer. No more of that There has to be a punishment for the woman sh*t that Traitor Tot pulled in 2016.

Which made it incomprehensible to me last week when McDaniel spoke at an RNC conference, when McDaniel stood there and said that the RNC was instructing all candidates to tackle the abortion issue head on.

Until that moment, I was 100% dead sure that there wasn’t a bigger political imbecile out there than Donald Trump. But after that, Trump is going to have to turn over his World Champion Political Imbecile crown to McDaniel. Fortunately, the GOP being a bunch of cheap *sses, I’m sure the crown has a Velcro sizing strip at the back.

Trump was right. In 2022, the issue of abortion, along with the infamous candidate quality cost the GOP the Senate, and a 25-30 seat majority in the House. What Trump seems to have instinctively realized, which McDaniel apparently doesn’t, is that due to the very nature of the GOP, the issue of abortion is a dichotomy.

Look, Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina can sound almost totally reasonable, politically and personally when he calls for a 16 week abortion ban nationally, with exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. After all, statistics show that something like 88% of abortions are performed in the first 16 weeks. A 24 week exemption for fetal viability wouldn’t be much different than the way it was. If the GOP can run that playbook, they can probably at least neutralize the abortion issue to some extent.

But here’s the problem with that strategy. The national  GOP can’t. run. on. it! because while it might be logical, a) they haven’t rolled it out properly, and b) it’s the state GOP legislatures that are dominating the national news and mucking everything up.

For instance. North Carolina, a competitive state nationally has a GOP dominated legislature. And thanks to a Judas Ewe Democrat, they’re going to have the supermajority to override Democratic Governor Roy Cooper’s veto on a 12 week abortion ban.

Now, on the surface a 12 week abortion ban might seem at least slightly logical, but being sadistic f*cks, the GOP has loaded it with poison pills. Use of a medical pill abortion will be banned after 10 weeks, and doctors are required to advise patients that they may see the remains of their unborn child as a part of the process. Women will be forced to listen to fetal heartbeat monitors during a visit, as well as having their OB/GYN graphically display the ultrasound, and show the features of the fetus. Everything is designed to shame a woman from using her constitutional right to self autonomy.

This is why McDaniel is such a moron. For a policy as divisive as abortion, it requires careful planning and a coordinated national rollout with everybody on the same page. Leningrad Lindsey making one measured statement just doesn’t do it. And just like El Pendejo Presidente sucks all of the oxygen out of the political room for the GOP, so does the excessive feeding frenzy from GOP dominated states on the abortion issue, and dominating the national media to show everybody, everywhere just what’s waiting for them.

All politics is local. The GOP can propose a 16 week band all they want, but if the states are going to go batsh*t crazy, it’s the local voters that the US House GOP candidates are going to have to answer to, not national sentiment. And thils the state safely gerrymandered MAGAt’s may be as safe as houses, those vulnerable GOP incumbents in swing districts are going to be left hanging out to dry. Don’t touch that dial, this is going to get interesting.

Nothing to do with political savvy, which you’re quite right, he doesn’t have and he doesn’t need. It has to do with the fact that he doesn’t give a shit about abortion. He doesn’t even care about the people who do. They’ll still vote for him, for some reason.

  2. Democrats need to jump on the fact that Republican politicians are calling them baby killers and start suing their asses for defamation or at least call them out and point out that science says a fetus is not viable till around 24 months and that the Bible tells us one doesn’t have a soul/spirit till one begins to breath, you know as when the doc holds you by your feet and swats you on the butt.

Oh, they are lying about ‘fetal heartbeat’ and ‘chemical’ abortion. Well, you know lies are all they have ever had, from welfare queens to WMDs.

  3. Baseball mitt was known as the “idiot of Bloomfield Hills”. She is simply following in the dumb asses footsteps.
Here in Michigan, the former republiCLOWN senate “leader”, shitsfield, is currently being investigated for grooming a 15 year old at his daddy’s “Baptist church”. Instead of carping about abortion for 50 years perhaps they should be putting restrictions on their perverted churches.
No one under 18 should be allowed to attend that collection of grifting perverts “house of the lord” without both parents present. Groomers should get the death sentence right after they are castrated.
That would eliminate most of the republiCLOWNS in this country.

  4. A person born into an ultra wealthy Mormon family is out of touch with reality? When was she ever required to deal with ‘reality’? There seems to be a pattern here.

  5. The problem.is that while the majority of Americans support abortion previability, that means nothing. What matters is what happens in individual states, and those polls tell.A very different story. in general, Bible Belt and Western states are heavily evangelical and they don’t even care about the life of the mother. After all, hubby can get someone younger, thinner, and blonde so.it will.be an improvement. They simply don’t recognized women as human beings, but more like dairy cows.

And those laws MUST include an exception for a fetus that is nonviable due to fatal fetal.anomalies. No woman should be forced to carry a much-wanted fetus for 4 more months, knowing it will.be stillborn at best. My cousin went through that and it risked her life because she was a,heavy woman who smoked and was likely to.suffer a,stroke or die from.pre-eclampsia. As it stands now, she would have to.bleed out or stroke out because of how badly these laws are written.
