Robert DeNiro hates Donald Trump. DeNiro did an impassioned commercial spot during the campaign where he said he’d like to punch Trump and since then he has called Trump a fucking idiot and a fucking fool. Added to that, DeNiro just announced that Trump is banned from Nobu, a restaurant chain DeNiro co-founded. Daily Mail:
While Nobu has thrown its doors open to some of the world’s most iconic stars, one well-known public figure who will not be gracing the eatery is Trump, as Robert has made his thoughts on the President extremely well-known.
When asked who his dream dinner guest would be, Robert insisted he would never let Trump into any of the Nobu restaurants, yet cheeky Chef Nobu stated: ‘It’s my dream for Trump to sit next to Bob. To make them sushi!’
Speaking earlier in the day, Robert said of the President: ‘I don’t care what he likes. If he walked into a restaurant I was in – I’d walk out.’
Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley responded. The Hill:
In response to De Niro’s reported decision, Gidley told Fox Business Network that Trump will just eat at “one of his many properties around the country and globe” instead.
“I don’t think the president is planning on attending a dinner at Nobu anytime soon,” Gidley said. “Look, Hollywood people grandstand all the time.”
“He’s not stopping at Nobu anytime soon,” he added.
A DeNiro spokesman told The Hollywood Reporter that nobody was banned from Nobu, but he would have to be crazy to go there.
De Niro has indeed been a vocal opponent of the president, slamming him at a recent fundraising dinner. “He’s still an idiot. And he lacks any sense of humanity or compassion,” said the actor. He ended by encouraging young people to become president and “restore integrity and dignity to the job.”
It’s probably all for the best. Nobu doesn’t serve burnt steak with ketchup.

He’d have to be nuts. DeNiro really hates his guts. He might get served if DeNiro wasn’t there (which, since it’s a chain, chances are he wouldn’t be there) but if DeNiro was there, I think DeNiro would walk up to him and insult him, quite frankly.
