It’s intriguing that Donald Trump is so concerned about Robert Mueller’s testimony before Congress, scheduled for July 17, when Mueller purportedly totally exonerated him. You remember that, don’t you?

In all events and for whatever reason, Trump and his minions are ramping up the conspiracy theory, big time. Here are a few clips from none other than Fox News. It’s worth listening to this nonsense to know what people are being told. We can’t fight propaganda unless we know about it. Grit your teeth. The clips are short.

Renato Mariotti points out that multiple federal judges disagreed with this guy.

This is total spin. There was intelligence about Russian interference with the election when Obama was still in office and McConnell refused to do a bi-partisan announcement on it. Then, Comey’s firing, after he revealed that Trump requested him to “go easy” on Michael Flynn, was the flash point that caused the appointment of the special counsel. There was cause for a special counsel to be appointed.

Then there’s Rudy, raving about how it’s all a “plot.”

It is no secret that Giuliani has lost the respect of all his former colleagues at SDNY, and it’s certainly no wonder.

One week until July 17. They’re clearly freaking in Trumpworld. This is just the beginning. Expect the damage control on Fox to go to lunatic proportions.

  1. Yep. barr is now throwing his weight around. Ordering Mr. Mueller’s guys not to speak in the already scheduled interview. I hope they tell him to shove it, or just ignore him altogether.

    • The irony is why bother, if Barr was right on the money in his analysis of the Mueller report and there’s no collusion, complete exoneration? God, I wish a reporter would ask him about that. We need the laugh.

    • He’s Trump’s lap dog. He’s clearly sold out and doesn’t care how he’s remembered by history. I find it astonishing, but that’s apparently what he’s decided. Shilling for Trump is better than an honorable career, I guess. Trump must be making it worth his while financially.

    • He teaches Constitutional Law at a so so law school in Orange, California, Chapman University. He’s not in the same league with Laurence Tribe or any of those people, make no mistake about that. He’s a little guy looking for attention.

      • I have had two reactions: Who? Where?

Now that I again (thanks to you) have a computer to use I was able to quickly learn more than I wanted to know. Yes, the law school he graduated from (University of Chicago) is a top tier one his career has been pretty much conservative hackery. Even his chair at Chapman is sponsored by a conservative group he’s tied to. And of course he’s active in the Federalist Society. Interestingly (or funny – for me at least) is his unbroken losing streak in pleading cases up to the SCOTUS level on conservative hobby horse issues.

The guy might not be a dumbass but he’s definitely a conservative hack and if they didn’t have mega donors with a long history of making sure folks like him have jobs he wouldn’t be jack shit. Not that he’s anything worthwhile now but you know what I mean. For a gang that viciously decries helping out people in any way it sure seems like conservatives go out of their way to make sure their own have cushy, high paying jobs that don’t really accomplish anything in the real world other than perpetuating the conservative circle-jerk.

        • So he’s another ambassador from Wingnuttia. It’s not surprising that he teaches in Orange County. OC is known as “Caucasian County” and is staunchly Republican. Although they did vote out Dana Rohrabacher and God knows that was a wonderful thing to see.

          • OC has been getting more minority and less white – it’s mostly white south of Newport Blvd, where the newer developments are still going in. (A lot of those seem to be the gated-and-guarded” type.) North half of the county is more minority, though the older people still tend to skew conservative.

    • It shows you how derailed a life can become. Rudy was a credible prosecutor at one point. How he lost all of that is simply beyond me. Now, he’s trading on the “legend” of what he was at one time, because that’s when he made his name. Right now his name is mud and all of his former colleagues shun him. What in God’s name can Trump be offering him to counter that? Tons of money? Or, Rudy just loves being on TV? I really have not understood his deterioration. I still marvel at it.
