Putin-Loyalist Marjorie Taylor Green Gets CPAC Crowd to Boo Ukrainian President Zelensky

I have this fantasy or dream. I hope that something weird is found, perhaps some evidence that Trump sold the most highly classified documents to the Russians or a Russian GRU agent defects and unloads secrets to the FBI. We wake up one day to hear that Trump, Tucker, Tulsi, Marjorie, Gosar, Gaetz… are all paid by the Russian government to push pro-Russian policies. I envision a future point where we yell at ourselves and the Republicans, “It was SO OBVIOUS. Why wasn’t someone investigating this well before…”

Speaking of “obvious,” there has been a pro-Russia crowd (See list above) from the very beginning of the Ukrainian war. Remember Tucker telling us that he wanted Russia to win? Notice this group always blames the United States and President Biden for the war? It is called propaganda, and it works.

Today at CPAC, Marjorie Taylor Greene pushed her Russian propaganda by painting President Zelensky as the “bad guy” by lying: “Zelensky… wants our sons and daughters to go die in Ukraine.” Perhaps it would’ve been better had Marjorie attended Zelensky’s address to Congress (She was vacationing in Costa Rica). She would’ve heard him say that America had to fight its own war for independence, and Ukraine must fight theirs, too. He specifically noted he wasn’t asking for troops.

Then Marj said:

“No money to Ukraine and that country needs to find peace not war. And while I will look at a camera and directly tell Zelensky you better leave your hands off our sons and daughters because they’re not dying over there.”

Pure propaganda. Notice that she puts the onus on Ukraine to “find peace”? She doesn’t say a thing about the fact that Ukraine peacefully existed just fine until Russian tanks and troops rolled over the border and tried to simply “steal Ukraine” and force Ukrainians to live under Putin. Any rational person hearing her would say, “Why are you attacking Zelensky and not the guy who started this war which threatens all of Europe if Russia wins and destabilizes everything? Shouldn’t you say, “I’m tired of sending American money, so Putin needs to pull out now!”

Yes, that’s how it should go. But for reasons… Marj is exactly like Trump. She will not criticize Putin in any way. Indeed, she’ll fight his propaganda war, and she does it well enough that the CPAC crowd booed… Zelensky.
