The party of family values once again showed us a real Kodak moment. This time it was between Vivek Ramaswamy and Nikki Haley. Ramaswamy is still steeped in his Trump-lite methodology of insulting everybody and Haley wasn’t having it. Ramaswamy brought up Haley’s daughter and Haley paraphrased Will Smith, who told Chris Rock, “Leave my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth.”
Haley said, “Leave my daughter’s name out of your voice,” which I guess is a politer way to put it. But calling the man scum was not polite — although I do appreciate an accurate descriptor when I hear one, and “scum” does describe Vivek Ramaswamy. Sums him up, as a matter of fact. And yes, I do believe that this is the first presidential primary anywhere, ever, where one candidate calls another one “scum.” Even Trump didn’t sink that low in 2016.

In all truth, Haley may have a point. How does he know what Nikki Haley’s daughter is doing on Instagram, TikTok, any social media, unless he’s watching her? Now, that is pretty sicko. And I have to say, I’m on Haley’s side on this one. She’s right. Ramaswamy is scum and this underscores it.

Here’s more normalcy from this evening’s festivities.
But will they address the real problems facing America? pic.twitter.com/hvgywbc7r8

A few other great moments.

And you know that Trumpty Dumpty is in another Floor E. Duh town tonight, with Hucky Boo Boo Sanders and Roseanne Barr, right? This is what a political party on life support looks like, ladies and gentlemen. In case you were wondering.
And you know what direction this is going and better is not it.
Haley to Ramaswamy: "Putin and President Xi are salivating at the thought that someone like that could become president" pic.twitter.com/s0wpkHBHiR

The part she’s leaving out is that Putin and Xi were likewise salivating — if not more so, in fact — when the specter of Trump becoming president appeared. That’s the part she’s not saying and that’s the major truth and main reason why the GOP is in the state it’s in this very night.
This next Ramaswamy clip is particularly off the walls.
"We've become a party of losers" — Vivek Ramaswamy, who goes on to call for Ronna McDaniel's resignation and for Tucker Carlson, Elon, and Joe Rogan to moderate the debate. He then pivots to a full-frontal attack on Kristen Welker. Wow. pic.twitter.com/JaYbZy42IG

Again, a first. I’ve never seen a presidential candidate call for the resignation of the party chair, nor launch an attack on the moderators. Wow.
You’ve got the flavor of tonight and how simply nuts it is. Ladies and gentlemen, the Republican party. Leadership you can depend on.
Ah…reality TV at its finest. 🙂 no snark needed… 🙂
If I’d been on the moderating panel (though it would take about half of Musk’s remaining fortune to get there to put up with all that BS and drivel), I would’ve reminded Vivek that his very ability to speak lays in my hands. One word to the production crew and his mic would be cut and he wouldn’t be able to continue–no questions directed to him, no ability to respond to attacks, etc. But he shouldn’t take it personally: That’s always the best way to handle obnoxious little brats.
