A picture is worth a thousand words. I put it to you, friends, which man does Melania look enamored of? The one she’s absentmindedly holding hands with, or the one she’s tilting her face up to, with an expression like he’s a champagne popsicle and she would love to devour him? That is the quandary that Twitter-philes find themselves addressing this lovely summer day. Comments ran from the crass to the poetic.

Now, Melania isn’t the first Trump woman to look at Trudeau this way.

Well, Sir, Donald wasn’t going to stand for this abuse, least of all on his medium of choice, Twitter. So he got into action.

He disagreed overtly, with the guy, a right-wing journalist, but he obviously wanted to display the man’s opinion. Trump’s idea of taking the high road. It backfired spectacularly.

      • It’s so obvious, and the fact that the supposedly self made billionaire real estate maggot, I mean magnate…and oh yea the POTUS has to pay for it.

        • Trump has always had to pay for it, and Trudeau has it flung at him. You think Trump doesn’t know that? Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t we all figure out those basics in junior high? Maybe even earlier?

          • No, you’re not wrong. I guess when you one of those ‘rich boys’ who grew up learning the art of the steal, and how to get your way by throwing a temper tantrum, any kind of actual effort at anything is just so, it’s just too much hassle, I want it now!

          • Trump grew up with the idea that he could buy anything he wanted, and he proceeded to do so. He’s not an accomplished athlete, like Trudeau. He’s not an accomplished politician and leader, with a sterling reputation, like Trudeau. He can’t hold a candle to Trudeau, any more than he can Obama. Same difference.

        • Remember how happy Melania looked at Barbara Bush’s funeral, sitting next to Obama? It’s because Trump wasn’t there and she was talking to a brilliant, charming man. Same thing here. She’s got to be able to see the contrast between the idjit she’s married to and these guys that are the real thing, real leaders.

          • We can totally understand why she would be enamored by Trudeau, and yet for the life of her, she cannot stop being a “model” in over-selling everything. She looks like she’s posing for a perfume ad (referenced in the Tweets), she looks like she is doing it for the camera, either by habit or – even better – on purpose, like she wants “that shot.”
            Melania would become far more “human” if she was giggling, or had kind of a flirty smile, looking from the side of her eyes. That would be a “human” response. Instead, she gives him the “Bed me, now!” look, the one that is just as depressing as the look she normally gives Trump. I am not going to criticize her any more than that. For all I know, Trump sucks the humanity out of anyone in his proximity.
            Now, the picture of Ivanka looking at him? Totally different, that is a “girl in love” pic, and unlike Melania, Ivanka probably does want to hide it, some.

  4. Damn I hate this but I am going to have to go against the crowd on this one. I watched the actual video over several times, and the point where they take this picture, she is doing the French “kiss both cheeks” thing to him, she’s not just staring at him lovingly. I was shocked when I saw the picture that she would look at him like that, but alas… no such thing.

    • I don’t doubt you, given you have looked at the video. Still, it is far more fun to go with the meme, and Trump deserves it. Thank you, though, for pointing that out. It is good to know the context, and we have much to mock anyway.

  5. I don’t really care about the video that this is from. This photo is hilarious and is giving me and many others some much needed levity in this crappy time. And a photo can capture a lot. Trudeau is devilishly attractive and Melania isn’t blind.
