This is no small deal that Mitch McConnell blamed Trump for “provoking” violence, during comments he made on the floor of the Senate Tuesday. “The mob was fed lies,” he said. “They were provoked by the president and other powerful people.” Ouch. Wouldn’t want to be Ted Cruz or Josh Hawley right now. Washington Post:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday pointedly blamed President Trump for having “provoked” the violent mob that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.

His remarks on the Senate floor came shortly before President-elect Joe Biden was scheduled to head to Washington after a farewell event in Wilmington, Del., where he has been conducting his transition. On the final full day of his White House tenure, President Trump is expected to release a video and could issue scores of pardons.

Oh, boy. Here we go. I shudder to think what the video will say or who he’ll blame for what.

22 hours to go, at the time I write this. Maybe I’ll just stay up all night.

  1. Do I give an “f” about McConnell? No. Is there blood on his hands? Oh yeah. He had the chance to have a public trial on the first impeachment. Blocked. Now…..he sees the light on the darkness 45’s wrought. Meh. He’s as culpable as 45 is on the violence that ensued.

  2. We need you bright and alert Ursula. Try and get some sleep as needed, or at least, some quality meditation time where you get some theta wave relaxation. We all love what you do and want to see you at the top of your game…
