US President Donald Trump is to visit the UK on July 13th, after previously cancelling a trip earlier this year to open a new US embassy amid claims he would face mass protests. Well, hate to break it to him but this visit is shaping up to also have a number of protests. Massive ones.
When Trump arrives in the UK this week for meetings with Prime Minister Theresa May and the Queen, he will be met with planned protests, including one whose campaign’s official motto is: “Make American Idiot Great Again.”
Organizers have planned to take Green Day anti-establishment anthem, “American Idiot” and play it so many times that the song will be the No. 1 single in the UK by the time Trump arrives. The incessant downloads started July 6 and will continue through the day before his visit.
The good news? The plan appears to be working. “American Idiot” is currently the best-selling song on Amazon in the UK.
