Machine Gun Marjie Is In The Crosshairs. With A Totally Useless Shield

You know, it seems like only months ago,  because it was, that the national media was widely proclaiming flaming flake Marjorie Taylor Greene The face of the MAGA House. Which tended to give the Democrats nocturnal emissions, since the GOP House attack ads write themselves.

But oh, how the mighty can fall! In a matter of mere weeks Greene has gone from being the golden haired Muse of the MAGAt’s to an unclean heathen, hurled off of Olympus into the brambles below.

In order to track the Laborious MTG’s fall from grace, you have to go all the way back to the beginning. From the day she got to congress, Greene aligned herself with the MAGA morons, the Freedom caucus. And she immediately started making controversial statements and picking fights with co-workers, especially Democrats. Famously she tortured one female freshman Democrat across the hall from her so badly that the Democrat literally begged then House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to move her to another office, even if it was in Baltimore.

But even that early, Machine Gun Marjie was already sowing the seeds of her eventual destruction. As flashy and trashy as Jessica Rabbit, and as dumb as a stump, Greene was an overnight sensation on FUX News, which she shamelessly used to get national donations. But at the same time, she committed the unpardonable sin of politics, She stepped on her better’s toes and lines. By the end of her first term, Greene was already overshadowing more senior, camera hungry Freedom caucus members like Gym Bag Jordan, Sugar Daddy Matt Gaetz, and Gruppenfuhrer Gosar. This cut into their FUX News face time, and they didn’t like it.

But Greene basically sealed her fate this past January. When the GOP retook the House in January, House Minority Leader Cave-in McCarthy was the odds on favorite to become the new Speaker of the House. And the House Freedom caucus knew it. But that didn’t mean that they were happy about it.

After all, they have real life experience as to how it feels to be stabbed in the back by McCarthy. He came into congress as a member of the Freedom caucus in the 2010 Tea Party wave election. And look how quickly McCarthy jettisoned the Freedom caucus to latch himself like a lamprey to the backs of moderate conservatives Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan. Sh*t, he wasn’t even in congress for a year when he co-wrote a laughable screed titled The Young Guns: The Future Of The GOP with them. And these were traditional conservatives, totally opposed to the Freedom caucus.

If the Freedom caucus was going to be stuck with McCarthy, they were going to hedge their bets. From the moment the new congress was sworn in, the Freedom caucus announced their opposition to McCarthy. This was more than enough votes to deny McCarthy the Speakership. The goal was to humiliate McCarthy so thoroughly that he was a totally whipped dog, basically a Howdy Doody Speaker of the Freedom caucus.

And then somebody threw a spanner in the works. And that was Marjorie Taylor Greene. She decided to flex her FUX News muscles to become a real player in the Freedom caucus. She almost immediately announced her support for McCarthy, and threw all of her media might behind the effort to get McCarthy the Speakership. It still took McCarthy 15 rounds of balloting to get the Speaker’s gavel, but having a Freedom caucus member in good standing backing McCarthy to the wall stole some of their thunder.

And now the Freedom caucus is uber pissed at McCarthy for the debt ceiling increase deal he caved in to President Biden to pass. And while they know that they can’t oust McCarthy because a) they don’t have the votes in the GOP caucus to do it, and b)there’s nobody else, they’re going to make his life a living hell, and they’re going to punish moderate GOP members suffer by forcing votes on controversial sure fail culture war amendments just to put them on the record.

Is it any wonder that the Freedom caucus is using this opportunity to get some payback against someone they consider an apostate? If Marjorie Taylor Greene is the only Freedom caucus member to call Lauren Boebert a little bitch, I’ll clean my bathroom floor with my tongue. But consider this. FUX News is still the official media outlet of the Freedom caucus, and now that Greene is a persona non grata with the Freedom caucus, her air time is going to drop. After all, FUX is desperate to Spackle over the cracks in the GOP before 2024. MTG is now a crazy, tangle haired cat lady standing on a soap box in Union Square bellowing through a bullhorn. What goes around comes around.
