This is fascinating. Donald Trump is in the Granite State tonight. Earlier today he was in New York City being discourteous (to say the very least) to Judge Lewis Kaplan at the E. Jean Carroll trial. The night before he was in Iowa for the Caucus, in brutal 30 degrees below zero cold. He was there the night before as well, admonishing people to take their lives in their own hands and go vote for him and if they died, it was in the service of a noble cause. Trump knows of no nobler cause than himself.

Then it was pointed out earlier today that Trump probably didn’t get any sleep last night, or very little, because of this schedule. It was also pointed out that the schedule is only likely to intensify as this mad calendar of trial/rally, trial/rally, keeps going on and on and on. It would tax the physical, emotional and mental stamina of a 30-year-old to do what Trump is doing and he’s a morbidly obese 78-year-old (in June) who eats junk food. Bear that in mind when listening to this. This is revelatory.

There is a great deal to be said for the old adage “use it or lose it.” And one thing is true of people as they age. If they have certain skills, they don’t lose those skills. And if you trained your mind early in life, with education, reading, writing, creating, things that develop the mind, you’re still sharp. I have literally known lawyers, writers, computer people who are still doing it in their 80’s. But if you never had it to begin with, then that’s a different story.

No, Trumpty is telling you what he wishes were true. This is another one of his “Sir” stories. And here’s more idiocy. It’s Catskill’s comedian tonight, folks.

Speaking of his cognitive abilities, another stellar moment.

I may have been overly optimistic earlier when I called this Catskill’s comedian level. It’s now dwindling to just plain pathetic.

Donald Trump is running to run the country that he tried to overthrow when he ran it before, so that he can outrun the law. But the problem is that he’s running out of gas. I seriously would not be surprised if Trump has some kind of a health incident in the next 60 days or so, and I would almost bet on something around Super Tuesday and the beginning of the Insurrection trial on March 4.

This, after all, is what Ron DeSantis is waiting for. This is what he prays for. Maybe it’s going to go down the way he thinks it will, Trump collapsing or otherwise being taken out of competition and understudy Ron stepping into the starring role.

I honestly would not be surprised, given the way Trump looks and sounds these days and the way he’s talking tonight.

  1. “…computer people in their 80s…”
Gee shucks, thanks (I still keep the off-springs (and grand off-springs) running and advise on upgrades. Now if I could just get she who must be obeyed that trying to charge a chrome book via a 5 volt phone charger just isn’t going to work really, despite the fact that the phone lead is longer)

I was fairly deeply involved in politics here at one time, but when they decided that tactics were more important than principles, I bade them a not so fond farewell.

I still keep an eye open on anything that I consider politically inept (or downright dangerous) and won’t hesitate to call it out, irrespective of who or where.

  4. He mentioned talking with Ronny Jackson (former WH physician informally known to the WH press corps as Dr. Pill dispenser) about a cognitive test. A cognitive test is NOT an IQ test. It’s a simple way any doctor can determine if someone has basic awareness, is “there” so to speak. It’s not about figuring out how smart or dumb they are but rather if they have basic awareness. That’s it. I’ve had more than my fill of doctors in recent months and I was given one in fact after being hospitalized. Pretty simple like the one Trump had. I felt ridiculous answering the questions, including remembering some words. It doesn’t take much to “pass.”

I like rewriting song lyrics, and when it comes to Trump touring his “very fine brain” there’s a line from an old rock tune that comes to mind: Doctor, Doctor give me the news – I’ve got bad case, of DUMBASS blues!”

  5. Or…”clowns on the left of me…jokers on the right…stuck in the middle with you”.
Or…” one toke over the line sweet jesus…one toke over the line”.
Or…”idiot wind…blowing everytime you move your mouth! headed down the backroads…headed south. You’re an idiot babe…it’s a wonder you still know how to breathe”.

  6. “Use it or lose it”

See, that’s why he’s remained so stupid, his stupidity is the only part of him that gets regular exercise.
