Donald Trump has it out for Liz Cheney. And he’s not the only one. Oh, no, Fox News has it out for her as well after Monday night when the congresswoman let the cat out of the bag and read texts aloud from Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and others, to the J6 Committee.

“Laying waste” consisted of Ingraham repeating tweets that she had sent out January 6. They’re not enough to exculpate Ingraham, let alone lay waste to anybody.

And then nightfall came and Antifa was running the show at the Capitol, as well you recall Ingraham saying, with their black helmets and backpacks.

Watch this video on Trump’s coup playbook. It’s an interesting context to view these facts in.

Here’s where Ingraham gets down and dirty.

It’s a shame that this clip is so short. I watched a longer version on the Fox News website and would embed it here if I could. Simply, Hageman assures Ingraham how abjectly miserable Wyoming voters are with Liz Cheney.

I don’t think that’s the case. In fact, I think this is going to blow up in Harriet Hageman’s face. I’ll tell you why. Go to the picture of the statistics. Hageman is on top with 38%. Cheney has only 18%. In a normal world, if we were living in such a place and could trust the polls, that 20 point discrepancy would spell death.

It almost reminds you of when Hillary Clinton was trouncing Donald Trump in the polls, right? We saw plenty of point spreads like that. Now let me give you my theory of what is going on. Look at the box which says “Undecided” over 26%. I don’t think they’re undecided. I think they just don’t want to say what they’re going to do.

Donald Trump consistently under-polled, to the vast dismay of the entire scientific polling community. He nearly broke the back of that industry. I believe that that is because Trump voters didn’t want to speak out. Clinton or Biden voters were happy to scream it from the rooftops but the Trump voters don’t want you to know about their guilty pleasure, voting for Trump. So they kept quiet.

I think this is the same thing. You add the 26% undecided to the 18% she’s got and you get 44%. Cheney would win handily with that. I honestly think that that is what’s going to happen. That 26% undecided is atypical and it is huge. I’m pretty sure some of the scientific pollsters will weigh on on that as things get closer to primary time.

The Cheneys are a dynasty in Wyoming, and admittedly that is the view of older voters. I suppose that it’s possible that a new generation of younger Wyoming Republicans wants to wipe out the establishment Republicans. Or, maybe they’re just more vocal about it and that’s why Hageman’s numbers are so large right now.

We will see, won’t we? But this is my prediction until Nate Silver or Larry Sabato or somebody who knows a whole lot more about polling tells me better.

And one thing is certain: the 2022 election is going to be decisive on a lot of levels. We will really find out how much of a hold the fringe crazies, the Boeberts, Greenes, etc. have on the party. Greene says that she’s not the fringe, she represents 70% of the GOP. Let’s see if that’s the case.

Mitch McConnell doesn’t think that the establishment GOP is going to curl up and die. Say what you will about McConnell, he got where he got to and stayed there as long as he has because he understands politics and power. That’s his native tongue. He speaks no other. I think McConnell and Cheney will still be around when the Jewish Space Laser crowd is gone and just the punchline to late night comedy show jokes.

We’ll see. That’s the only guarantee here, is that we will see in the fullness of time how this goes down. Stay tuned.
