So much for the magical thinking of Trump world, where COVID-19 is minimized, if it’s considered at all. Donald Trump Jr.’s girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle, in South Dakota with Junior to speak at a fundraiser and celebrate the fireworks show with Trump at Mt. Rushmore, has tested positive for the coronavirus. New York Times:
Ms. Guilfoyle is the third person in possible proximity to Mr. Trump known to have contracted the virus. A personal valet who served Mr. Trump his food and the press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence tested positive for the virus in May.
IMs. Guilfoyle was not experiencing symptoms, the person familiar with her condition said. She and the younger Mr. Trump never met up with the president’s entourage, the person said. Out of caution, the couple plans to drive back from South Dakota to the East Coast, the person said.
Still, that another person who was expected to be near Mr. Trump tested positive — and someone who most staff aides consider a member of the Trump family — is likely to renew attention around potential risks to the president.
Even as outbreaks have emerged in the South and West and as states across the country report a record number of cases each day, White House officials — and Mr. Trump in particular — have minimized their focus on the virus in public appearances. In an interview on Wednesday, the president indicated that he believed the virus was “going to sort of just disappear.”
Trump and entourage are very reckless. They play fast and loose with the truth and they’re careless, at a time of national emergency. It’s good that this happened. Not wishing anything bad on Guilfoyle, I’m indifferent to her, but the attendant publicity should help to focus the fact that COVID-19 is not a hoax, nor a political issue. It is a real and serious health menace. Clearly, it strikes the just and the unjust alike.
So is she still partying for the weekend Or staying in? Will she be able to hop a flight home?

And how many people in the WH remember that it’s contagious for two or three days before you know you have it?

They are undoubtedly not “driving home” alone. Jr. probably doesn’t even have a driver’s license and I’m sure they have a Secret Service detail to expose to the virus on route.
Don’t forget that the human shaped flaming orange rectum never wanted his son to be named Don Jr. in the first place, famously whining to trophy wife #1 “What if he turns out to be a loser?” Don Jr.’s attempts to win favor with his dad have of course failed. Daddy only has eyes for Ivanka and that’s only because daddy has lusted after his little sister since forever. What I’m driving at is that it’s not like Don Jr. or his wife see the evil orange Pooh-Bah very often and probably for only minutes, or even seconds at a time. That means the chances of Kimberly or Don Jr. infecting Donnie Poopy Pants have been minimal. But it will mean Don Jr. is even more of a loser in his dad’s eyes for being involved with someone who is so “weak” as to get infected and embarrass the Trump name. Don Jr. is probably terrified at this point that HE will have been infected because it would likely lead to banishment from the Trump Org. HQ to “run” some out of the way property as far away from his dad as possible.
How long would you need to infect, though? Minutes will do the trick.
They figure 15 minutes is enough to guarantee exposure, if you’re around someone who has it.
Seconds would do the trick.

I can see MoscowMitch and his ilk praying to their “god” that Trump contracts the virus hoping he gets sick enough to shut him up. Myself, I hope he croaks.
I think that already happened…and he STILL didn’t shut up.

I repeat: my mother has the credible theory that Trump already has COVID 19. My spin remains that he’s got one of the lingering cases that last for months. THAT’S why everybody in the inner circle keeps getting infected.
Naw , at his age , we would know. Plus, they would have rushed him out of the White House. And, he’s still tweeting !

And don’t you just love his new non-plan: just learn to live with it. Learn to live with the fact that if you go pt you may get very sick and if you are young and visit older relative you may kill them. Live with the fact that any many older people and immunocompromised people will be forced to stay in for many months — people who have money and would normally be spending it, so the economy will continue to be in the toilet. Live with the fact that women have no childcare so the have to stay home with their kids and the family starves and becomes homeless.
Good work, Trump. And by the way, fuck you.
