Jenna Ellis has been splitsville with Donald Trump for some time but this latest rift should really do it. First, Ellis decided that following Ron DeSantis was the true path, in and of itself an act of blasphemy for a member of the Trump Cult. But now, she’s really torn it. She’s taken to social media to publicly complain about how Trump won’t pay her legal bills or worthy peoples’ legal bills, but he pays other peoples’ child support battles. Newsweek:
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, discussing the potential to pardon those convicted of non-violent crimes during the January 6 attack, Ellis wrote on September 4: “DeSantis said he would consider pardons on a case by case basis.
“Trump could have issued a blanket pardon before he left office, with certain requisite conditions to be ascertained later on a case by case basis (such as non-violent individuals for instance, to foreclose pardoning anyone in your example). Why didn’t he?” she added.
In a separate X post from September 1, Ellis wrote: “Has Trump defended the J6ers [January 6, 2021 accused]? Has Trump defended the indicted lawyers? Has Trump defended the pastors jailed or threatened with fines over [former Chief Medical Advisor Anthony] Fauci’s failed covid policies Has he paid for anyone’s legal defense except himself (oh and Jason Miller’s child support lawyer)?”
Ellis also accused Trump of using supporters’ donations to help Miller, senior adviser on Trump’s last three presidential campaigns, with his child-support legal battles, in a separate X post.
“I have no problem with Trump using donations to fight a weaponized government. I Encouraged people to donate after the first NY indictment,” Ellis wrote. “I do have a problem with Trump using little grandmas’ pensions to pay for Jason Miller’s child support battles.”
In other words, Ellis has no problem whatsoever if Trump uses Grandma’s pension to pay for the things she cares about, only if he uses the money to pay for trivia for his pals. Sour grapes, Jen. You just wish you were Jason and we all know it. It’s a small and coveted circle that gets their legal bills paid and if you were only the Diet Coke valet or a few other inner sanctum fluffers, your lawyers would be getting paid, too.
And needless to say, it’s been speculated that Ellis will flip and soon. She has every incentive to do so and right now it looks like she’s going to flip and depict it all as a moral decision based upon Ron DeSantis’ superior leadership. This will get entertaining, mark my words.
Tristan Snell, a lawyer and former assistant attorney general for New York state, was one of those who said that Ellis could flip on Trump. His post came amid reports the former president is refusing to pay her legal bills in the Georgia case.
“Watch Ellis carefully now. When Trump cuts someone off, it’s the tipping point that results in the person flipping on Trump,” Snell posted in August. “My bet: Ellis will cooperate.”
Michael Cohen, Trump’s one-time lawyer, has since become a vocal critic of the former president. He too said in August that the former president is taking a huge risk by not helping Ellis and fellow Georgia defendant and former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani with their legal bills.
Of course the silly little twit has no concerns when granny’s pension pays for her misbegotten causes. Republicans in general and magats in particular are nothing if not hypocrites. As for her flipping-I figure she has looked into her immediate future and realized prison orange is not her color.
I’ve long said conservatives, at least those who’ve “made it” and gotten rich & powerful have a simple philosophy that governs their feelings and actions: “I got mine, so go f**k off losers.” Ellis has been whining about Trump not paying her legal bills for some time now, and she’s displaying she has lived by that philosophy I just stated for most if not all her life. Her problem is that she stopped “getting hers” and is now in the “so go f**k off loser” category now and of course she doesn’t like it! Geez, the mean spirtitedness in me is strong these days. But f**k em. I’m going to enjoy the hell out of seeing people like Ellis mired in a giant vat of their own sh*t. Let her whine. And for anyone reading this, join me in enjoying her petulant whining.
