Incredibly, Trump’s Lawyer Wants Him To ‘Sit Out’ This Next Election

Even the broken clock is right twice a day and what Christina Bobb just suggested actually makes some sense — but not for the reason that she said it.

Yes, the first couple of weeks of 2023 have come up with what is probably the strangest plot twist we’ve seen in politics in quite a while, where both the sitting president, and the most recent former president, both running for office again in 2024, are discovered to have had classified documents in their possession.

We’ll all very aware of the high strangeness of this, to co-opt a term from UFO-ology. But this idea of Bobb’s is emphatically a non solution.

 WHUT?!? Before your head explodes, about it for a minute. This is a suggestion from a right-wing broadcaster who works as an attorney to Donald Trump and whose own career is in jeopardy for falsely signing off on a document stating that all the files from Mar-a-Lago had been returned when in fact they had not. You can’t expect normal reasoning faculties, here.

The last tweet is intriguing. I don’t think it’s necessarily true, but it is something to think about. Could it be that Trump is getting cold feet? Bear in mind, the only reason this race interests him is for lots of attention and lots of money. He wants to duplicate 2016, catch lightning in a bottle twice. It’s not happening that way and it has to be making him nuts.

We’re not out of the woods yet. Fox News is conflating their little hearts out, making these two factually opposite cases look completely identical.

I think what Bobb actually meant is that she wants the documents investigations, both of them, to simply go away. And of course she would, since she perjured herself.
