House Gets FART Rolling, $HIT’s Next As One More GOPer Bites the Dust

There is no low they won’t go. We have a couple of interesting developments happening today. Kansas Republican Jake LaTurner is resigning, but he will serve the remainder of his term, so the GOP majority, already hanging by a thread, will not be affected. And of course this opens up the possibility of a MAGA crazy getting the seat. That is always the case.

After much prayer and consideration, I have decided not to run for reelection to the House this fall.

Speaking of MAGA crazies, Marge is losing it bigly. Here’s her latest tirade.

Does Congress have an on-call therapist?
She needs to be assessed.

Who’s getting “stabbed in the face?” She’s using some pretty wild imagery here. The woman is clearly not well. No wonder LaTurner wants to leave. Who wants to serve in Congress alongside crazy people?

Now as to the title of our story, FART.

And here’s the other vulgarism and then a suggestion of a third.

Look, I use salty language as well and as often as the next guy but this is getting a bit far out there.

In all seriousness, a couple of things are happening: Marjorie Taylor Greene is unstable. This is not a new observation. She is also unteachable and cannot or will not learn what reasonable boundaries are. And she doesn’t care. She suffers from the same bulletproof syndrome as Matt Gaetz. She’s in a +34 R district, he’s in a +36 R district and so anything goes. And we mean anything.

Legislators who are actually accountable to their constituents can’t run these games. Matt Gaetz was to the manor born. His father, who was known as Daddy Gaetz, got into politics and then Baby Gaetz followed. Matt Gaetz doesn’t have the brains, drive, or personality to be a first generation success or to create much of anything on his own. He’s strictly the trust fund baby a$$hole, who takes what he’s been given and then makes a mockery of it all. He’s a modern day Caligula.

Then there’s Marge Greene, also born to wealth, who fell into politics when the siren call of MAGA went out in the land. She also knows nothing of the field in which she’s in, but she’s likely to stay in Congress for some time due to her bulletproof jurisdiction demographics.

Gaetz and Greene are examples of how the democratic system of representative government can fail when districts become too gerrymandered. Jim Jordan and Paul Gosar are other burning examples.

Look for Greene to get crazier and crazier. Something is going on with her. When she had one of her most recent public meltdowns, when she told a British reporter who asked about space lasers to “fuck off” you could see the insanity flicker in her eyes. She just can’t stand not being the top dog and having the last word in all scenarios.

That is a recipe for disaster in politics. Politics is compromise by its very nature. If you look at the people who have lasted for long periods of time and who have done very well, the Mitch McConnell and the Harry Reids of the world, you see people who know how to play their hand. They know who has what interest at stake and how to balance out all the competing interests to get a result which benefits the whole.

Marge is utterly clueless about any of this. She is a performance troll and she does not know when to quit. Look for something to blow up with her. She will do something insane. What I don’t know.

Mike Johnson went out of his way to placate her and he can’t. She is beyond reason. So sit back and watch the show and know that the villain is not just stupid, uninformed, and ill intentioned, she’s stark raving mad.
