A bill before the House of Representatives, entitled the the “No Glory for Hate Act” prohibits the use of federal funds to “name, designate, or redesignate” federal buildings or land “after, or in commemoration of, any former President that has been twice impeached by the House of Representatives.” Federal financial assistance would also not be provided to “a State, political subdivision thereof, or entity” looking to name any building, land, structure, installation, or other property in commemoration of any former President twice impeached in the House. Well, there goes Trump International Airport, Trump Stadium, and a whole bunch of other Trump pipe dreams up in smoke. The Trump presidential library isn’t looking too good, either.

“any former President that has been twice impeached by the House of Representatives” would not be allowed to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
In addition, twice impeached presidents would not be able to receive any benefit other than Secret Service protection that is afforded to them by the Former Presidents Act.”

President Trump was never impeached. He was aquitted both times they TRIED to impeach him.
No, dummy. He was IMPEACHED TWICE. He wasn’t CONVICTED either time. But he was impeached twice. With people like you voting, no wonder democracy is going down the drain.
It’s the House that has the sole responsibility of impeachment, not the Senate. It’s the Senate that removes a president guilty of crimes specified in the Constitution from office after the House impeaches.

What did not happen (yet) is being convicted, censured, & punished for those offenses. That’s coming next. See 1996 US Code Title 18 – Crimes and Criminal Procedure; Part I – Crimes; Chapter 115 – Treason, Sedition, and Subversive Activities. The offenses under this Chapter only require a simple majority vote in the Senate. And the punishment once convicted is: Death and/or Imprisonment for not less than 5 years; and rendered incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Well, the verdict does matter. People may be wrongfully charged. If found not guilty, no one can hold the charge against you. However, no senator is privately arguing that Trump was wrongfully charged in either case. In both cases, they delivered corrupt acquittals, and in both cases several senators who voted for acquittal issued statements indicating they believe he was guilty. Susan Collins said she voted for acquittal the first time because “he learned his lesson.” Collins is the one who learned her lesson and did not repeat that naive mistake.
He was impeached TWICE – that’s the House’s job. The Senate failed to convict, because they’re full of cowards.
Only Nancy Pelosi says he is impeached. Why on this earth is she allowed to make these decisions. Everybody knows he was acquitted

The thought of that traitorous bastard being buried at Arlington infuriates me. I’m not sure he’d want it as he’d want a MUCH “grander” (as in TACKIER) memorial than other Presidents, such as the understated but moving Eternal Flame for JFK, or the nearby understated but still moving low granite barrier with quotes from his brother RFK (U.S. Army as I recall) but Trump might consider being at Arlington a “fuck you all” to the country by claiming the perk of being buried there.
I’ve actually been giving some thought to it myself. I’ll be cremated. My plans have for a while been to have the urn buried with my dad or in the spot next to him. My sister would come. Maybe a couple of other people although if I live a normal life span a couple of others who might have shown up will already be buried in Pleasant Grove. And it’s not like my sister would ever visit. Nor will I have any sort of military honors as I’m sure the locals will, because of my well known disdain back there for Trump have all manner of excuses for not being available. At best I could hope someone would play Taps on their cell phone. So I’ve thought about having my remains placed in a niche in the ever growing complex of the columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery. At least then I’d receive honors, and sometimes someone walking by would stop and read names including my own.
But if TRUMP winds up there. Fuck it. I’ll stick with my original plans. I’m serious. I’d rather have NO ONE show up when that time comes, and NO honors at all including someone playing taps on a cell phone. And no one ever stopping to pay any respects to me than to be in the same place as Donald fucking Trump. There could be no greater dishonor to all those who have served this country than for Trump to be in ANY National Cemetery, much less Arlington!
I think burial at Arlington should be reserved for people who served, and for their spouses.
Most presidents have been buried in their home towns, or in a family plot. I think that’s especially appropriate for Trmp – he already has a mausoleum at Bedminster. Plant him there.
