Can’t say as how this is surprising, although it is disappointing. Nikki Haley has been attacking Donald Trump on his flank, much in the same manner that Chris Christie did, and it’s been most refreshing. She isn’t getting a lot of pushbacks from Democrats because in so many ways she’s doing our work. She’s still the same uber phony as ever, who has miraculously been able to take blandness and lack of platform and somehow morph that into looking moderate. It’s been quite the sight to behold.

So enjoy watching it while you can. Super Tuesday is right around the corner and right after that is when Haley will show her true colors and endorse Mango Mussolini:

Down in the polls by double digits, former Trump UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, who recently took off the kid gloves and has been battering her Republican opponent Donald Trump, just laid the groundwork to endorse the man she calls “unstable and unhinged,” by labeling President Joe Biden “more dangerous.”

“I think what’s really important is to know that the majority of Americans dislike Donald Trump and Joe Biden,” Haley told NPR’s Steve Inskeep in remarks that aired Thursday (audio below). “So we think that there needs to be an alternative.”

“While critical of both men — who she called ‘too old’ to be president — she said ‘Biden is more dangerous’ due to his management of immigration and the economy,” NPR reports. “Haley hinted that, if Biden and Trump were to face a rematch, she would back Trump if he wins the Republican presidential nomination.”

Here’s why this is so significant: a post-Trump world is going to be an eventuality for the GOP, unless they intend to just continue losing with him at the helm. Is he now going to be the presumptive nominee for 2028? I ask, because his money problems are definitely not going to go away and politics is his only source of income.

So one would reasonably assume that if there is going to be a post-Trump party that Haley could be one of its leaders. But apparently she’s not looking for a new party to rise. She’s evidently looking to save her political neck in the party as it now exists, and has existed for eight years now, as the Trump party.

It’s just another example of Republicans indulging in wishful thinking. Enough GOPers ran against Trump in the primary, as a sort of ritual dance, and now they’re fully endorsing the same person who has caused the party to lose the last three elections in a row, not to mention all the special elections.

Let’s face it, Trump has caused a number of House and Senate seats to flip blue. That trend is expected to continue in November. It’s widely believed that Lauren Boebert will be toast and wonder of wonders, Ted Cruz could join her. Cruz faces a very formidable opponent in Colin Allred. Allred is running a smart campaign. He is running pro-Texas and Cruz has been a lousy senator for the state. Allred has no lack of material with which to prove that point. Simply, if even just those two would fall, Cruz and Boebert, that would de-MAGAfy politics and change the face of political theater in this country substantially.

Let’s see what Haley does, but she’s pretty predictable at this point. She’ll endorse Trump. That’s sad, because if she had stuck to her guns, she might have become a conservative leader of some credibility in a new conservative party. But that would take a level of commitment and drive that Ms. Bland does not possess.

What is truly tragic is that Haley, like everybody else, knows damn good and well who is the more dangerous leader for this nation and it ain’t Joe Biden. But she’ll get up there and lie that it is, so as to survive in what’s left amongst the Republican ruins.

  1. Repeating lies to fabricate a fake ‘controversy’ doesn’t make them true. The economy is doing way better than under the previous, and there would be no ‘problem at the border’ if employers were fined heavily for employing ‘illegals’ – and when republicans, themselves, stymie a solution.

    But repeat them they will.

They’ve got nothing else to offer.

    • I also feel that if the republicans had funded border security, immigration courts, etc., we wouldn’t be in this pickle. But of course, they oppose any increase in government spending.

    • Well, Democrats have plenty of ammunition to use against GOP opponents if there’s the slightest hint that “the border” will become any kind of issue. And it’s all on House GOPers–mainly Mike Johnson who refused to even let the Senate bill come to the House floor for so much as a debate. And there are plenty of House GOPers (and a few Senate GOPers) who made a lot of noise about refusing to support the deal AFTER Trump gave his orders.
A good (or half-decent) Democrat, in a competitive race, should be able to produce an ad showing how “the border” could’ve been solved if not for GOP obstruction, led by Donald Trump–the very man who’s been making “the border” such an issue. The ad COULD even suggest that Trump–who, even with a rubberstamping Congress–couldn’t manage to solve the border “crisis” (his only real accomplishment came after he STOLE money from the Defense Department–money intended to help military families and help our troops).

  2. So, as I’ve been saying all along, the nazi, child killing, rapist supporting beatch will goose step right along with the rest of the killers. Nikki you are no better than the rest of the liars…you just lied and fooled the fools.

  3. How nice it is to see Haley talking exactly like Trump and Hannity himself, saying one thing at intervals over time, then coming back to counter everything she said before, SO, the question that pops into my mind, is the one interviewers should ask, were you lying then, or now?

Talking out of both sides of your mouth at once, different stories coming out, but each emphasized with emotional claims and finger pointing is a difficult task, however, most old Republicans have refined the process to a fine, very annoying art … Just ask one for a yes or no answer on virtually anything … They can talk for hours about something that has absolutely nothing to do with your question …

  4. More dangerous? Uh huh. Well, if competence, levelheadedness, getting the job done and useful experience are more dangerous than rampant ‘pube/con stupidity, she has a valid point. I don’t think that is the point she was trying to make. The point she is making looks a lot more like the one on her head. What a moronic tw*t. And she was governor of a state? That state has bottom of the barrel scraping standards.

  5. “It’s widely believed that Lauren Boebert will be toast and wonder of wonders, Ted Cruz could join her.”

Well, the Magic 8-Ball is indicating that the reasons for their departures are completely unrelated. Boebert is likely to go down in the upcoming GOP primary in her new district while Cruz’s departure won’t happen until November. (Granted, when Boebert loses the primary, she’s under no obligation to vacate her seat until after the general election.)
