HAHA! Eric Obliviously Sells Out Daddy In Mis-Spelled Tweet

There are two Constitutions in this country right now, my fellow Americans. One is the actual document itself, written by the Founding Fathers. The other is the MAGA-Trump version of the Constitution, which basically says that Donald Trump doesn’t have to abide by the exact same laws that “an unbroken line of presidents” (as Jamie Raskin framed it) have diligently observed for two and a half centuries without question.

Eric Trump got into the mess yesterday and today because, like always, he doesn’t know when to keep his mouth shut. Fools rush in where wisemen fear to go, as the saying tells us. Eric decided it was incumbent upon him to weigh in on the House Oversight Committee’s report, which showed that during Trump’s years in office his businesses received at least $7.8 million in payments from foreign governments and officials from 20 different countries — among them, China, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Eric’s reply was:

His tweet ends, “The Biden’s” [sic] because he doesn’t know the difference between plural and singular possessive. And this guy is a Captain of Industry and Master Of The Universe, he would have you know. Um….Eric? You listening, buddy? Two things: First, you just ADMITTED that there were profits, when the Constitution clearly states that the issue is “payments” or “gifts” — not profits — and then second, CONGRESS decides what to do with the payment, gift, whatever is at issue. Not the recipient. The person who encapsulated this best was Jamie Raskin, not surprisingly. He usually cuts to the chase.

Plus, Eric told the New York Times that the report’s narrative is “insane” and that there is “no president in United States history who was tougher on China than Donald Trump.”

Others, however, responded to the report with criticism of Donald Trump.

“BREAKING: Trump got $7.8 MILLION from 20 foreign governments while he was president. China was the biggest spender. Saudi Arabia was second. Money flowed through his various hotels. Disgusting corruption — and gross violation of Constitution’s emoluments clause,” tweeted lawyer Tristan Snell.

Condé Nast legal affairs editor Luke Zaleski tweeted, “Trump is a political mob boss with questionable ties to Russia (manafort), China (bannon) and Saudi Arabia (kushner) whose finances are a mystery. He’s currently ruling the GOP in exile after inciting an ongoing deadly insurrection. And the GOP is protecting him from consequences.”

Donald Trump better get another PR person besides his dim bulb son. All that he manages to do is make things even worse than they were before. And it goes without saying that people would like to see receipts for all this money that the Trump family was depositing to the U.S. Treasury. Perhaps those receipts can be found the same place that the “billions of dollars” in tariff money that Trump got from China are kept, Remember that? When Trump was trying to convince people that a tariff wasn’t a tax, it was a check request form, and China was writing yuge checks to the Treasury?

This was around the same time that Trump was claiming to have been an effective bill collector for NATO, getting everybody to “pay their share.”

What a pack of imbeciles. And they’re doing everything that they can do to get back into office. May heaven help us avoid that plague. The Bible may have been written too soon. In the Old Testament it describes a plague of locusts, a plague of boils, a plague of frogs, one of flies, one of gnats. But they didn’t know that the 21st century would yield the worst plague ever seen, a plague of Trumps.
