Oftentimes, a song comes to mind that reflects exactly how you’re feeling in the moment. The elephants were humming such a song recently but it wasn’t familiar to the younger Furkids. They asked Aunt Nellyphant what it was then excitedly came to me to say this was the very song they wanted this weekend!

The song was performed by the Temptations on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 2, 1969.  As an homage to the era, the jukebox is topped up with old pennies. All you have to do is press play, scroll down to the illustrated lyrics and sing along!

  1. species appropriation. that dog has a mother and it ain’t you! unless you have fur, walk on all 4 fours and were impregnated by canine. just stop it please!

    • What a strange complaint. It appears to be based solely on your misunderstanding of a single word which is overwhelming evidence that you didn’t read the column at all.

You’ve missed the vital fact that kids – a term humans appropriated as a nickname for their own children – are actually baby goats. Yet it is my experience that goats are entirely disinterested in the issue of species appropriation and don’t feel the slightest bit oppressed or offended by the affectionate use of ‘kids’ for human offspring. That you should feel offended on their behalf actually speaks to your own species appropriation. How very embarrassing for you.

    • I am… baffled by the point you are trying to make, here? Of all the corners of all of the internet, you are really coming to complain about something that’s designed to bring joy and smiles?

I wish you the best of days, Kris. Hopefully, joy in your own life will keep you from trying to steal the same from others.
