Fox and Friends has really thrown us for a loop of late. They sound somewhat more open to Trump criticism and Biden praise than even CNN at times. For instance, Steve Doocy has been the Fox figure with the most level head regarding Trump’s problem with the files. While Hannity was freaking out, saying it is nothing, Doocy was saying, “What didn’t he just give them back, then go to a judge and say, “I have the right to these documents?”

This morning it was Brian Kilmeade, who  – while giving while giving Biden advice to unify, stood up and unabashedly backed up the American economy under Joe Biden. From Mediaite:

BRIAN KILMEADE: To me, this would be the perfect time to say, listen, our numbers aren’t perfect, but we have better numbers than any other country in the world. And compare yourself to China, compared to Russia, compared to any European nation… You know, Japan’s got this low inflation, and people have certain areas. Our numbers look good. And this way, you could actually pretend, at least for a few months, that you’re a unifying president.

Kilmead may be referencing Biden, and saying Biden could sound “unifying,” which Biden has begged for but won’t “unify” with the dangerous “MAGA-GOP.”

AINSLEY EARHARDT: But do you know what Americans would think if they heard that? We don’t care about comparing ourselves to other countries. We just want it to be better.

A perfect description of the MAGA mind. The rest of the world is in a serious recession but things are pretty good here but we’re supposed to be immune from world problems.

BRIAN KILMEADE: That’s a good point. That’s a that’s a good point. But I’m saying you have the. His choice is attack Republicans and how bad their ideas are. I’d say, hey, listen, look at me. I know countries. We have some challenges, but compared to everybody else, we’ve worked our way out of it.

All true. Except Biden would retort that since having the majority, the GOP has done nothing but talk about investigations into everything and so it’s tougher to get in there and put deals together.

But in the end, Brian Kilmeade gave Biden credit for what is a decent economy and one which could be much worse. And by the way, Brian, Biden always mentions when a bill was passed bipartisan.

  1. “The rest of the world is in a serious recession but things are pretty good here but we’re supposed to be immune from world problems.” Well said, and that’s a great example of how Republicans are just not in touch with the real world. Thjey don’t want to be and they don’t care to be. They like their own fantasies better. That guarantees that if their judgment is on rare occasions correct, it’s just by accident.
