On Wednesday a federal appeals court ordered that 167 documents in a lawsuit alleging Jeffrey Epstein was a part of a sex-trafficking ring be unsealed. This is a bombshell because the court ruled that the public’s right to know outweighed the privacy issues of Epstein’s famous friends and associates. Epstein was arrested in New York City on Saturday night and will appear in court this week on this matter.

Greg Olear is an American writer of both fiction and non fiction. He’s known about Jeffrey Epstein’s tropical “paradise” Orgy Island, and sex parties, some attended by Donald Trump, for some time.

Following this thread by Olear is a synopsis by Forbes Magazine of Epstein’s latest case, where he is facing federal charges for sex trafficking in New York and Florida, and a summary of Epstein’s case in Florida, where he received a slap on the wrist, engineered by none other than Alex Acosta, then a U.S. Attorney, now Secretary of Labor. This is big.

Forbes:

Topline: A federal appeals court Wednesday ordered that 167 documents in a lawsuit that alleges famously well-connected financier Jeffrey Epstein participated in a sex-trafficking ring should be unsealed—and that many of his powerful friends could be named.

  • In its 27-page decision, the court cited the public’s right to access the case information outweighed the privacy of certain individuals, “including numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well‐known Prime Minister, and other world leaders.”
  • Virginia Guiffre (now Roberts) filed the lawsuit against Ghislane Maxwell, alleging that she had used her as part of a sex trafficking network of underage girls to Epstein and a number of his famous friends, including his lawyer Alan Dershowitz and Prince Andrew. Both men denied the accusations.
  • Dershowitz has supported unsealing the documents, according to the Daily Beast.
  • The documents will not be immediately available, as anonymous individuals involved in the case have two weeks to file appeals.
  • The court advised the documents be read carefully. “We therefore urge the media to exercise restraint in covering potentially defamatory allegations, and we caution the public to read such accounts with discernment,” wrote the court in its decision.

Key background: Epstein had previously been charged in 2007 in a 53-page indictment. As the Miami Herald revealed in its investigative series “Perversion of Justice,” Epstein managed to escape all federal charges through a plea deal that gave him and all of his coconspirators immunity, with all documents being sealed. Epstein ended up pleading guilty to one state prostitution charge in Florida. He then registered as a sex offender and paid unspecified restitution to three dozen victims identified by the FBI.

The contentious plea deal was orchestrated by U.S. attorney Alexander Acosta, now President Trump’s secretary of labor. The Miami Herald’s reporting prompted calls for Acosta to resign, but he has remained in his Cabinet post.

In February, a U.S. district judge determined federal prosecutors, including Acosta, broke the law by failing to notify victims before Epstein pleaded guilty to the Florida prostution charge. That decision could potentially nullify Epstein’s plea deal, opening him up to new federal charges. But prosecutors are challenging this ruling.

Interesting how Trump’s association with pedophiles is a recurring theme, as is the persistent echo of Russia constantly in the background in Trumpworld.

    • This is going to get wild. The shock waves from this are going to be felt in a lot of places, including Buckingham Palace.

I have to believe that Trump, in particular, is going to have a lot of dirt come out, simply because of that news clip I published yesterday — you remember the hateful look he gave that protester who simply held up a picture of Trump with Epstein? That said a lot. Trump’s got something to hide.

I was afraid all this would get swept under the rug in 2016 when the woman who accused Trump of raping her when she was 13 dropped her case, due to death threats. Now, all of that information is going to be revived, I predict.

      Stay tuned.

      • Are some big time people actually going to get punishment? I am thinking so. This is a huge deal, a lot of people are freaking out right now. I hope these women finally get the outcome they deserve. I was so angry about Acosta, and this whole disgusting pile of garbage.

  1. I wonder how many repugs are part of that list of ‘numerous American politicians’. It would certainly explain a lot of their actions or inactions with regard to tRump. There is always some kind of sexual or violence component to him and the people he surrounds himself with. Continuous denial just isn’t going to cut it anymore. If it walks like a duck . . . . .

    • Hate to be Johnny Raincloud but expect more than a few Dem pols on there as well…and evangelical leaders and business folk and showbiz celebs.

      • Bill Clinton and John Kerry have already shown up as names in Epstein’s address book. Although, far as I know, they haven’t been implicating in raping minors, like Trump has.

        • Oh, agreed, Juan…just pointing out that, however much some of us might want to believe otherwise, this likely goes WAY past just the GOP.

  2. Inevitable result of further investigation of Dimwit Donny and his friends behavior.
Every time you turn over a rock to see what’s underneath…

        • I’ve been commenting here and there, that things are coming around to take a big chunk out of DJT’s behinny, he has felt free to blather things to anybody that will say how cool he is to do this and that … the recording of his hideous comments on that buss of grabbing things that don’t belong any where near him, was a simple open speaking about the REAL Trump, privileged as he always has been, and now we see the cigar room attitude he shares with a secret society of big money and older, very white men …

His excitement with the younger girls that he prefers, the beauty pageant comments, were not a fabrication, but rather his own personal experience, his voice told the real story, like a movie going through his mind, what he did and the thoughts he really had at those moments … his whole sleazebag life has been hidden from the open public view, held in those party places set up for the wealthiest scums out there … I would not be surprised to hear that some of those parties had show and bid times to examine the female stock paraded for the scums to decide on a partner for play time … maybe even a girl to take home to live in the guest house as a cleaning lady or other helper with special benefits for the, “owner”, just awful stuff in any event …

It is so shocking to find out that the thoughts and exclamations I had made the first time I heard the tape of trump on the buss and the flimsy, “locker room talk”, put out by the putrid Trump family … has been exposed as the truth … with all this open now, holy hell will sure to be happening shortly … did Putin hold the root of this over Trump? Maybe he supplied Trump with some younger illegals for party times … scary thoughts as the Russian mob has always been sure to eliminate any dangers of blow back … kind of like Kim eliminating his own family members, but Trump loves him anyway …

Will our buddy Mr. Schiff get into possible corruption from black mails? Suppose Mueller’s team found about the depth of this on-going horror story?

You are absolutely right, this show will bloody a lot of people, and maybe a few Dems out there as well, but if it does, maybe we don’t need or want that problem in our campaign or WH anyway … this could lead to massive cover ups and a good ole’ boy troop of billionaires, maybe even the darker versions of these parties …

        • This story should have been “big” years ago, and certainly before the 2016 election. However, Epstein’s billions and powerful connections successfully kept it covered up. If the people in the justice system do their jobs, it will be big, but they can be compromised by big money and the powers that wield it. Let’s see where this story goes.
