The part of the MAGA saga which truly goes into the Twilight Zone has always been the Godly aspect of Donald Trump. Supposedly, he is a born again Christian, which is total falsehood. As I’ve written here many times, David Barton, the crazed “historian” in Texas, realized that Ted Cruz wasn’t going to get the nomination and this new guy, Trump, was. So Barton got Mike Pence’s evangelical hero James Dobson to do a little PR work. Dobson announced in summer of 2016 that Trump was a born again Christian and the rest is history. Trump put Pence on the ticket and away they went, with the white, evangelical vote in tow.
So now Trump is coming up for a third bash at the White House, having won once and lost once. Eric Trump is going to explain to you how the first win was the will of God. Terrific. May we know, please, why Trump didn’t win a second term? Oh, that’s right, excuse me. He did, but the election was stolen. Um…couldn’t God have prevented the election from being stolen? I mean, he is God right, and that way his anointed son could stay in the White House. You won’t find answers to that here, simply how God watches over Trump.

This, in many ways, is the saddest part of this entire MAGA phenomenon. We have an actual churchgoing, religious man in the White House now. But somehow he’s being depicted as a criminal who steals elections and this complete bum, who has been to church a few times in his life and no more worships God than I worship the fire hydrant outside, is being depicted as some heaven-sent savior.
This is batshit. I sincerely hope that there are more Americans who are awake and in touch with reality than there are these lunatics. If there’s more of these people than of us, we are cooked. I don’t think that there are. But in all truth? It’s scary that anybody is this nuts. Truly. And it’s even scarier that opportunists like Eric and Lara Trump and Alina Habba are lying to them and milking them for every dime.
John 8:42-47. Jesus is confronting the religious hypocrites by calling them ‘children of the devil’. He describes the devil as a ‘murderer and liar from the beginning. when he lies he speaks his native language for there is no truth in him.’ Sounds about right to me. Sounds like the Maga crowd is willing to hang on the cross for the WRONG God. Funny how they ignore the gospels and make up their own. I wonder if their ‘god’ was watching when he raped a 13y/o, ms.
