You’ve heard the expression “better late than never” but truthfully, I’m not sure it applies to politics. Politics is about timing. You’re either there with what it takes, at the right moment, or you’re an also ran, a footnote in history. That said, I guess that if Ron DeSantis was ever going to actually put his weight behind a punch and connect, three days before the last “debate” prior to the Iowa Caucus is as good a time to do it as any.
It seems to me to be that coming up with this eleventh hour attack is only one more display of how incredibly mismanaged and ill conceived the DeSantis campaign has been. But there are a few good points here: the tape you’re going to view has Tucker, Laura Ingraham, and Fox News all represented. So Trump’s going to be furious with all of them and don’t forget, when Ron and Nikki are insulting each other on January 10, Trump is going to be on Fox News with a townhall.

Stay to the convention. Just limp through with no money, get there with 50 delegates to Trumps 2200 then demand that the power brokers force a floor fight to nominate a guy who’s been rejected by over 90% of gop voters because the specter or law fare is to much for conservatives

Could it get that insane? I haven’t the slightest idea. The only thing that I see happening loud and clear is this: DeSantis is like Trump when it comes to losing. He doesn’t do it well. Bearing that in mind as we go forward will explain a lot to you. Things are going to get crazier before they get any calmer, that’s a guarantee.
I just saw him respond to the question about Trump disparaging Lincoln. He himmed and hawwed until finally admitting Lincoln abolished slavery and saved the Union…saying I don’t know what he’s talking about. LIAR!! You know goddamn well what he was doing telling lies, rewriting history and seeking stupid applause. You should have called him out but you didn’t coward…same Ole Nancy strutting around in lifts and white go go boots! Coward!
Sorry, Scott, but Lincoln freed not one single slave. The Emancipation Proclamation CONTINUED the practice of slavery in UNION-HELD territory (including the 4 states of Missouri, Kentucky, Maryland and Delaware) and the 13th Amendment, while proposed and sent to the States before Lincoln’s assassination, wasn’t ratified until 8 months after Lincoln’s assassination. And, it should be noted, that life for the former slaves, especially in the Deep South, really didn’t change all that much (since there was no such thing as “minimum wage,” the former slaves who continued working on the plantations could be paid a mere pittance–even just in the form of “room and board”–for their labor).

For the record I was talking generally about Lincoln saving the Union which ultimately did free the slaves. Oh and I wasn’t being misogynistic as you ASSUMED…I was specifically making a joke about the Nancy Sinatra hit These Boots Are Made For Walking where she was known for wearing white gogo boots. Your stodginess is showing through. By the way I know Lincoln was caught in a bind and once proposed sending African people back to their home country. Ultimately he changed his opinions. Maybe you should also instead of ALWAYS pouncing on details while ignoring the point. The point being his attempt to dance around criticizing Trump’s outrageous lies.
