The focal point for idiocy in this country tonight is none other than Des Moines, Iowa where the worn out Catskills comic in the blue suit and red tie now converts a nation’s tragedy to a punchline. And there’s evidently a soundtrack behind Trump. Or, maybe the people in this Fox News audience do think that the kind of horrible death that is caused by COVID is a laughing matter. God help us if that’s true.
On the other side of town are Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis. DeSantis has too much blue eyeshadow on. Maybe he didn’t know he would be standing in front of a blue screen. In any event, he’s got his makeup on and his heels, so that he’s as tall as Nikki Haley in her heels. And he’s promising that he’ll build a wall when president and yes, Mexico will pay for it, with remittances. You can’t make this stuff up, folks.

Yeah, everybody is dying to be part of Trump, 2.0. This will go on for another half hour or so but you’ve got the flavor of it. Softball questions, Trump telling an all-white audience he’s going to do a massive deportation of those poisoning America’s blood and Ron and Nikki being Ron and Nikki.
And I thought the three stooges died out when Curly, Larry, and Moe passed on. My bad.
Not that I and my friends wouldn’t sometimes watch an episode (and laugh) sometimes but we liked to call them “The Three Stupids” as a backhanded compliment. It’s no compliment to call Trump, Haley and DeSantis The Three Stupids. Or for that matter The Three Stupid Assholes!
