Things are rapidly getting out of control in America. It’s no longer a democracy if candidates from one party are literally physically attacked by candidates of another party. That is something, but democracy it is not. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that Democrat Richard Ringer, running for a state house seat from District 51, called 911 Monday morning after being assaulted at his Fayette County home in what would be the third time in two weeks.
The THIRD time in two weeks? That there was even one time, ever, is too much to contemplate.
Ringer said he was bloodied and knocked unconscious by an attacker in his backyard around 5 a.m.
“A guy was standing with his back to me. I went and bear-hugged him, wrestled, ended up on the ground,” said Mr. Ringer, 69, who is running in a contested race for the open 51st House District seat against Republican Charity Grimm Krupa. “He was larger than I am and he pinned me down on my left side. … He hit me 10 to 12 times in the head, in the face and by the eye and he knocked me out.”
A call placed to the state police trooper who responded to a call to Mr. Ringer’s home was not returned on Monday afternoon. Mr. Ringer said his hands were bloodied and his faced bruised from the attack.
Mr. Ringer said he couldn’t provide police with much of a description of the man.
Mr. Ringer has also had two incidents of vandalism to his home that have occurred within the last two weeks. One, a threatening apparently election-related message spray-painted on his garage door and the other a brick thrown through a storm door window. The spray-painted message was partially washed off by the rain by the time Mr. Ringer saw it, but what was left clearly visible were the words “your race” and “dead.”
This is MAGA. Anybody who is not MAGA is an enemy. You well recall the violent threats that were made to Adam Kinzinger and his wife, and certainly the Pelosi incident is fresh in our minds. A few other incidents that leap to mind are Anthony Gonzalez, a Republican rep from Ohio who chose not to run again, due to death threats he received after voting for Trump’s impeachment, and even Lindsey Graham was scared to death by MAGAs at the airport when he dared denounce Trump on January 6.
This is not America. The purpose of a democracy is to peaceably resolve political differences at the ballot box. We’re not talking about that now. We’re talking about candidates being beaten and bloodied for even running for office.
MAGA is the new Ku Klux Klan.
The fools in the GOP, don’t realize that every time one of these incidents occurs, the setback to their schemes becomes more potent …
Shaking off the Maggots’, Trump created with waving hands and rubber faces, makes their lazy attitude about finally, and clearly stepping away from Trump and everything he and his family stand for … TOTALLY, AND INSTANTLY important, this close to the vote next week …
However, the simpletons designing ads for the GOP losers, show they are weak and have no REAL platform, the words, “Too Liberal”, “Pelosi Puppet”, “Voted against our Tax cut for the mega wealthy CEO’s and boards of directors”, ( 1 Trillion Dollars ), which they immediately, turned around and bought up their own stocks, to make even MORE money from, “We the People”, some details get lost in these new ads …
These ads are flying every where, there will NOT be time for regular programing until after next Tuesday, with the totals counted …
