Trumpty Dumpty has his choice of walls. Trumpty Dumpty can make many falls. He can crack open in D.C. or in front of the AG, Trumpty will crack it’s just a question of when.

Maybe I’ll write a children’s book about Trumpty. What we know at this time is that he canceled his North Carolina rally, oh the wails and moans can be heard from here. And there they go, ripping their clothes, covering themselves with ashes. You know the MAGAs. They identify with his “persecution.” They, too, are persecuted. The ex wants the child support, the boss wants the job done, and nobody appreciates how wonderful they really are.

Trumpty would love to be with them, too and hear their roars of approval. He much prefers their company to Letitia James. But it’s not his shot to call. Axios:

Former President Trump and his adult children, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr., are scheduled to testify under oath on July 15 as part of a probe by the New York attorney general into his finances, a court filing revealed Wednesday.

Driving the news: This comes almost two weeks after a court ruled that the family was obligated to testify as part of the probe.

  • Trump’s attorneys had argued that the attorney general’s office was planning to use the testimonies for a separate criminal investigation, but a four-judge panel in the appellate division of New York’s trial court said that these were not related.

State of play: The former president and his children are slated to appear for testimony starting July 15 until the next week, unless a New York appeals court intervenes, according to the court documents.

This is what you get for creative bookkeeping. I’m not the least bit surprised that Trump once wanted to be a film producer. There’s a lot of creative bookkeeping in that business, right up his alley. And his family would fit in fine. Lots of Botox going on, plenty of nepotism.

I wish Fred Trump had let Donald pursue that dream. The world of politics might not have been cursed with him.

  1. If Trump had been a film producer…Well, some things have changed in that industry. Not enough but some, and I’d bet all I have (admittedly not much) that had Trump become a film producer he’d be sharing a cell with Harvey Weinstein. Oh well. I don’t believe there is a god, much less a just one but I can still fantasize about the prospect of Trump one day winding up in a prison cell somewhere.

    • I don’t care what they get him on – treason or tax evasion. I just want to see him in that jumpsuit. Unfortunately this case is only civil, but if they can take enough of his money, I will feel some sort of justice has been achieved. I hope he’ll retain just enough money to repay Mary Trump the money he stole from her.

      • There are going to be repercussions when the suit is won. Clearly, he’s not going to be able to pull the same stunt in the future, valuing a property at $100 million to a bank and telling the IRS he lost $10 million on it. Those days are done.
