There is a website in the world, TrumpCardPatriotsSOAR dot com, which is described as a “straight conspiracy theory hell hole” by Patriot Takes, one of my favorite sources of RWNJ clips and clues. The site has put together a handy seven point guide to restoring King Trump to his throne. The guide is being distributed at CPAC, where else?

Now, if you’re drinking coffee, get away from the keyboard, you’re likely to spray all over when you read this.

Now, number one, getting “the Black Caucus and other key groups to flip, unexpectedly” is going to be quite a challenge. Sisyphean struggle doesn’t even come close to describing it. A salmon swimming to the moon comes close, but not quite.

But let’s assume for the sake of argument that the Trump Card group gets there. Ask yourself why would numbers four through seven even be necessary if number three is implemented? If Trump is announced to be the rightful winner of the 2020 election, then game over, right? Why make him Speaker of the House?

And forgetting that, how is Trump going to nullify every action Biden or Harris took? By what legal mechanism? Yes, it does give one a headache reading something this stupid, but this is all the rage at CPAC, even as we speak.

Trump is the losers’ loser, but the GOP won’t move on from him. Remember this?

The facts speak for themselves, but somehow the GOP is in see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil mode. They just can’t acknowledge it. They can only pretend that everything is fine, just fine.

Let’s pick up Occam’s Razor here, shall we? Maybe it is as simple as that. When Trump won in 2016 I spoke with an actor friend of mine in New York and he said that this was the case, that Trump won because “there were so many stupid people that thought that Trump’s TV character was the real guy.” At the time I accepted the explanation, figuring that when Trump fell squarely on his ass, that people would come to their senses. No. 74 million of them voted for four more years of Hell.

So is the answer that they STILL think he’s the character from The Apprentice? I have no clue. The Democrats ended up with what we wanted, Trump out and a unified government. Trump got out by a solid margin of votes, but we’re hanging onto the House and Senate by our fingernails. I can only assume that it’s because the likes of Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene, that level of person, says enough talking points which stick, so that the fearful bottom feeders of the electorate identify and vote Republican. That’s sheer speculation. I don’t understand how people can be so stupid and how they don’t realize what’s at stake here. What I do understand is how corrosive this stolen election madness is to the cultural narrative. And it shows no sign of abating. Trump seems ready to run on it in 2024.

  1. I thought the 60 losses in court would be enough to make him be quiet and go away. Silly me. I also thought it would be enough to convince his followers that he is wrong. Apparently my thinking was mistaken.

    • I’d like to know how they think that #2 is going to occur in just days, without an election, without a majority in the House. And #1 is never going to occur, even despite their wildest imaginations. This is just f_____g stupid.

  2. We are living in an age of propaganda. It’s as simple as that. Fox News and other right-wing sites are making a fortune lying to people and that’s not going to stop.

  3. I can’t see them getting past #3. There isn’t any way for that to happen. Not without a war breaking out. (They probably would nuke the coastal cities, forgetting where the ports are.)

  4. love this, Ursula! The only conclusion I’ve been able to reach is that things have to get way the hell of a lot astoundingly stupider before they even begin to make a teeny tiny lickity split spit of sense!

  5. So, part of this scheme requires the election of a “conservative” Speaker of the House to draft those articles of impeachment (I trust the idiots behind this scheme realize that you need TWO different sets of articles, one for Biden and one for Harris–the Constitution does NOT provide for removing two different people in a single impeachment proceeding; I also trust they realize the articles are doomed to fulfill their desired purpose for the same reason that Trump was still in office after the first impeachment proceeding) but then THAT Speaker will–for some odd reason–allow ANOTHER election to replace him with Trump? And this second election is supposed to take place before the impeachment hearings?

Um, did these idiots behind the scheme sort of forget that Democrats will still be in control of the House and I do NOT foresee the “Black Caucus and other key groups” will “flip” to the point that they would turn on Biden or Harris? (No matter how disappointed the far-left progressives and their Congressional delegates may be with either Biden or Harris, I just can’t see them being willing to accept working with the far-right nuts behind Trump since Trump is far worse for the far-left than Biden, Harris or Pelosi.) And being elected Speaker of the House requires a majority, not a plurality, of members actually casting a vote (a “present” vote doesn’t count) so the scheme can only work if enough Democrats are willing to be absent from the vote or will simply vote “present.” And that’s just for the FIRST new election. Let’s not even get into the notion of then getting a second election for the Speaker that would put Trump there.

And then, of course, we get the final flaw: Trump would then be ineligible to run and serve another full term in 2024. There’s a Constitutional maximum of 2 terms OR 10 years. If he got back in office, his term would end on at 11:59 am January 20, 2025. (He could wrangle getting re-elected in 2024 but he’d only be allowed to serve until mid-July of 2027–presuming the 10-year maximum gives him “credit” for the time he’s been out of office. That does pose a little problem since he’s been behaving as if he’s still the legal president so that’s iffy at best. And the “credit” will not apply to his getting back in this year since Inauguration Day is set by Constitutional dictate.)

    • These idjits haven’t read the Constitution outside of, maybe, the second amendment. They certainly weren’t paying attention to the last two impeachments, outside of whatever coverage they saw on Fox/Newsmax/OAN.

    • It would require that he work, which won’t happen. (It also demonstrates that they have no clue what the job involves.)

  6. Does anybody know if tRump is getting the regular national security briefings that former presidents are entitled to? I believe the powers that be would be very careful what true information they feed anybody in the tRump camp. That man could screw up the world with that sort of information. He tried his damndest to do it for four horrible years!

    • Well Meg, it’s complicated. A former President can get quite detailed briefings on some matters depending on circumstances. Prior to Trump, it was common for Presidents to consult their predecessors (even across Party lines) on a variety of matters including National Security Ones which would of course require briefing them on a substantial portion of current goings on.

However, it’s at the discretion of a sitting President (who will rely heavily in his/her own top National Security folks) just what gets shared with a former President. No former President has a “right” to be kept in the loop. In fact, many have commented on how startling the transition from access to everything turns into (“You’re no longer cleared for that compartment” which has sometimes become apparent before they even take the helicopter ride to Andrews for that last flight home on the Presidential aircraft, which since it doesn’t carry the designation Air Force One during that final flight is yet another reminder!

I don’t have any trouble imaging Trump wanting a briefing on certain matters – especially Russia and the hacking they conduct or allow. He’s probably scared to death of what it could mean for him. However, even as a former President he has no right to any classified briefings or information beyond any credible threats to his life from foreign actors. Even then it would be limited in scope, and scrubbed as much as possible so he couldn’t sell it or share it just to fuck with others.

I also have NO trouble imagining a quiet request from Trump to be briefed on goings on being met with silence – or those receiving such requests falling on the floor laughing at his audacity! So basically he isn’t getting jack shit when it comes to classified information. Nothing more than what he sees on his magic tee vee screen or reads on social media.

  7. Actually, making Donald House Speaker and impeaching Biden and Harris is the only part of this that makes sense. It acknowledges that there is no mechanism to overturn an election after it’s over, and provides a potential mechanism that at least recognizes the Constitution. I don’t say it’s possible. It wold require the entire nation to succumb to the mass delusions which afflict Republicans currently. And that is just not going to happen. But it does make constitutional sense.
