It’s a shame in a way that Mike Pence most likely won’t be running for president in 2024. I say “most likely” because the only way I see that eventuality taking place is if Donald Trump ends up a convicted felon and Ron DeSantis gets struck by lightning during a hurricane — not to say these things couldn’t happen, especially the former. But both Trump and DeSantis being out of the game, and the mantle falling to Mike Pence? It would pretty much take an act of God.
That said, if God did something like that, it’s probably because He would enjoy a good laugh along with the rest of us. Mike Pence is such a weak, hypocritical schmuck that there’s no lack of comedic material.

It will be curious to see if Mike Pence makes any more noises about running for president in 2024. He was booed in Florida at a conservative conclave last month, and not for the first time. He has too many enemies. Trump made Pence a lot of enemies by setting him up as the fall guy for the election. To hear Trump tell it, if the election was finally lost, it would be because Pence didn’t save it, not because Trump lost it and denied losing it. Trump can’t admit fault for anything, so he threw an anchor around Pence’s neck.
Pence isn’t going to overcome the Trump condemnation and he never had much of a base in the party before Trump. As his former aide Olivia Troye said about him, “He’s not evil, he’s weak.” All that the Trump/Pence alliance really did for Mike Pence was to give him four more years in politics and his vaunted two-book deal. He should be glad of that and cut his losses. He was finished as Governor of Indiana when the GOP powers that be decided that he could bring in the religious vote and so they put him on the ticket with Trump.
Marrying the religious vote to the racist, the reality show host and the homophobic hypocrite put on quite a show and their contract wasn’t renewed. The rest of the world sees it this way. How long do you think it will be for Mike Pence to wake up?
Although if he doesn’t for some reason and if Trump and DeSantis are indisposed, for whatever reason, from running in 2024 and Pence ends up heading the ticket, it will be high comedy.
Think about it. You know it’s going to be considered a smart move to put a woman on the ticket. So if a Pence/Noem or Pence/Haley ticket is cobbled together, will Mother allow them to talk alone or will she have to be in the same room? You get the idea. The SNL skits will write themselves.
Pence is a “dead man walking”. The left would never vote for him and the Trombies will never forgive him. There aren’t enough votes left to put him over in either a primary or the general.
The problem is, he’s not bright enough to realize this.

Ursula, it might be a smart move to put a woman on a pence ticket but that is not a thing pence would do. He thinks Mulan would influence girls to join the military and this is a bad thing in his eyes. I cannot imagine him thinking highly of women holding high office let alone the second highest in the country. And that’s before we even get into the mommy issues he has. I honestly think he would go straight male ticket and try to sell that has being the best thing for the country because a woman ISN’T on the ticket.
