It’s a memorable day in Washington, D.C. Protests have erupted, people are bleeding — police and civilians alike — and being taken out of the Capitol by stretcher. Donald Trump has taken his tweet box in hand to try to pull back the base, which is interesting because a few hours earlier he was peacocking and claiming that he won the election, per usual, and Rudy Giuliani called for “trial by combat.”
Then Trump called out Mike Pence as a coward for not doing something Pence didn’t have the power to do, i.e., singlehandedly overturn the election. That led to the base storming the capitol and Pence being rushed to safety.
The Lincoln Project is on top of all this, as usual. Here’s their latest.

Trump turned back the rock and this is what crawled out.
Heads up…Trump just put up a video on Twitter that is exactly what the situation DIDN’T need right now. Twitter has made sure it can’t be replied to or liked. Couple it with the Lincoln Project ad above and Uncle Joe’s swift response and Trump is as good as screwed.
Update: FB completely removed said video by Trump from their site. Even THEY know this isn’t working.
The cops have now found two bombs planted in the Capitol building. And the terrorists look very cozy out there. The cops are letting them scream and twerk at their leisure.
On one level, I can see why. Everyone who’d be in danger is out of danger. None of these fools feel any need to leave and with all the video they’re running of themselves, every second they film themselves is another moment that a positive ID can be established. On the other hand…yeah, this shit need to stop.
Yeah, but they’re invading and vandalizing private office and who knows what kind of destruction they are doing to government and personal property?
Anybody notice that Trump suggested a march to the capitol saying he would be with them. But noooo . . . . he slunk back to the cower in the White House, like the sick coward he is. Thy say the devil gets souls by persuading them to do his dirty work. Well, lookie here . . .

Why have we had no LE briefing? One shot dead and three more dead due to untreated conditions. The DOJ has jurisdiction in DC.
Given the number of LE entities involved and the day’s chaos? My guess is they’re doing their best to get an accurate sitrep. This doesn’t work like a game of Command And Conquer, after all.
