Yes, Trump is lying about the crowd size, as you expected.

Okay, let’s be reasonable now: maybe there are 3.4 million people in this picture…IF you count all of their counterparts in alternate dimensions. Yeah, that sounds right. That’s where all the alternate facts come from, is alternate dimensions — and that’s where JFK Jr. lives, too.

The claimed crowd size is not the only thing that’s laughable. So are the tanks and the military hardware and just look at who’s laughing at that.

Well, Little Rocket Man sure bombed on what was planned to be a Putin-esque power party. The Russians are not impressed with Trump’s toys and they think their guy is way cooler? Wow, this better not get out on Fox News, or there won’t be a television set left in the White House.

As to Trump’s speech, it’s being hailed as an “8th grade history lesson” that “sounds like it was written by an artificial intelligence bot.” It’s almost certain that the speech that Trump gave was not the rousing MAGA rhetoric that he had planned. Unfortunately, if he had given the campaign speech he wanted to give, he would have had to foot the bill for the entire extravaganza. So, the monotone speech read off the teleprompter was probably cobbled together at the last moment by the likes of Steven Miller and Bill Shine to keep yet another scandal from blossoming and bill from being run up. Although there was the classic moment when Trump credited the Army of 1776 with taking over airports — did he go off script, lose his place on the teleprompter, what?

“Our Army manned the air, it rammed the ramparts, it took over airports, it did everything it had to do and at Ft. McHenry under the rocket’s red glare had nothing but victory. When dawn came, the star-spangled banner waved defiant.”

Manning the air and taking over an airport in 1776 would have been stunning achievements, about that there is absolutely no question. Were horses flying in those days, or somebody built an aircraft from Da Vinci’s sketches, or what exactly? Anybody know?

  1. DDale’s tweet on the “airport” claim. He seems to have missed the bit about Ft McHenry – that was the War of 1812.

      • He got that in the next tweet. Tr*mp is looking like an idjit who skipped out on all his history classes. (I’m assuming that Rutgers required freshmen to take US history. UC certainly did.)

        • Well, Rutgers might have required freshmen to take US history, but, remember, we’re talking about “The Donald” here: The rules that apply to everyone else do NOT apply to him. (Haven’t the past four years shown you that?)
I’d be willing to bet that “The Donald” got some poor schlub (probably someone on scholarship) to take the course–and its tests–for him and then skipped out on paying (at least, in the financial manner the schlub expected).

  2. Not that it changes the idiocy of Trump’s understanding of history, Ft. McHenry was attacked by the British navy in 1814 in the “war of 1812.”

    • Apparently he went off the rails when he read “Cornwallis at” as “Cornwallis of”, and he just couldn’t get back on track. (Ft McHenry wasn’t even built until 1798.)

      • The disheveled idiocy of Trump that not even a few tanks can distract us from. Unfortunately, this is a “feature,” not a bug, expressing hatred of government and furthering its destruction.

    • I think I found a winner for the dumbest thing said since the whole,’ Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, …won’t get fooled again.’ And here I thought I was going to live the rest of my life without seeing a republican president as stoopid as Dubya.

      • I think it’s a much, much safer bet to say that Dimwit Donny is the most stupid president ever, and will be for evermore. At least partly because it’s quite hard to see if more stupidity could be possible.

  3. And once again, the human equivalent of Ultron demonstrates his inability to connect with people in a non-threatening context.

    • I still can’t find anybody who is able/willing to go on record with a theory of what happened. Either somebody did a Ron Burgundy number on Trump and that nonsense was in the speech and he just read it, or Trump went off script and that’s when the disaster happened.

I figured that “airports” was written as ports and that’s what might have confused him. He probably doesn’t know about ships and ports and what have you. He is that ignorant and stupid. I believe he loves the poorly educated, that’s what he sees in the mirror.

  4. Your cartoon header here is absolutely spot-on, his pomp and botched circumcision are obvious characteristics of a man, according to a mere woman who should know, apparently, has something like a mushroom, probably an adhesion that he is not getting fixed because he is a coward and afraid of anything that might hurt his tiny pride and joy …

This miss-begotten cow dung in the WH, has had every advantage handed to him, except intelligence, I wonder if the WH doctor has called for a second opinion on Trump’s really weird performances lately, even notified Pense to come in from his stupid run for office, (?)

A rapist/abuser/malignant narcissist has NO PLACE in our WH OR being CIC in our military … like this, REALLY BIG SHOW, shows, indeed, his flaccid manhood he is so fond of … makes him reek of fast food digestion and onion rings …

But not one iota of anything resembling a brain …. so sad … /s
